Re: Fuel filler neck question

#$%^$@@#$##$%$$#@ CAR!!!!!! This took me about 4 hours to replace! yes 4 hours!!!!!! EVERY SINGLE bolt I touched broke off at the head. The 3 simple phillips head screws at the top got stripped and had to be drilled out! The hose clamp was way under the rear crossmember and I could barely reach it. ...

Re: Help me choose a new ride

Small change of thought here. This subaru is totally "new england" rusted out! I'm not about to do another shell swap into another 17 year old shitbox! lol Its a pitty that I spent so much money on the engine rebuild and everything else but I need to get rid of this thing before I lose a b...

Re: Fuel filler neck question

Cool, thanks. I'm actually thinking about JB welding the shit out of the pinholes and spraying ruberized undercoating all over it. I know its ghetto but I really just need it to last a the winter and I'm unloading this thing as soon as I can get a new awd daily driver to replace the g35

Fuel filler neck question

Can someone please confirm that this is the correct part number for a 1994 legacy wagon. Its almost half price from what I've seen online so I'm a little apprehensive of ordering it without some verification. link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/GENUINE-SUBARU-LEGACY-FUEL-FILLER-PIPE-OEM-42066AA131-/170527...

Re: Stereo Install 09.28.11

For the LED you don't need a relay, you wire one side to bat+ and one side to ign+. When you turn the ignition off the positive output will float to ground and complete the circuit giving a negative side. Obviously you need a LED that blinks and is designed for 12V or you need to add the correct re...

Re: Stereo system build thread

OK, I made some changes to the original design. I originally was going to have the 3 8"s mids facing up and on display but due to my amp rack change in design and removing all the planned motorization I decided to face the subs down and have the box rest on the amp rack. The box for the 2 12's ...

Re: Stereo Install 09.28.11

If you want to disable that led while the ignition is on you can do it really simply by interrupting its power through a relay. Has to be a relay with the 5th pole (87a) 85- ignition source 12v (red wire on our stereo will work) 86- Ground Now, cut the power feed to the led you have currently and co...

Re: Anybody know AutoCAD/CATIA?

I took a 2 year certificate program for CAD which focused on Autocad 2d modeling, 3D rendering and also Solid works and Inventor. One thing you should understand is that the difference between a drafting certificate/degree vs an actual Engineering degree is that being the drafting fellow in the orga...

Re: Name my shop!

Evan, While we are on the subject, I took a look at your business cards you have posted on the FB page. I'd recommend using a white "outer glow" on the text that is laid on top of the photos to make it easier to read. Its really hard to read the text as its being drowned by the photos. I'd...

Re: Name my shop!

I wouldn't worry too much about a logo or a sign or a business card really at this point. Logos are used to establish brand recognition. You aren't selling a product and you arent marketing a specific product, you are marketing yourself. Any advertising will likely be word of mouth so something simp...
