I got my vf39 up and running with a 90deg bend at the inlet. (from a saab or volvo) and it works great. I cut the air box and moved the MAF around. Also, I had to re-clock the compressor (and drill one hole in the WG actuator mount) to get it to point to the intercooler. There is a little more lag t...

Automatic seat belt and window switch bad connection

The front passenger side auto seat belt decides when to retract, usually a few miles down the road when I hit a pothole or something. I usually get a good laugh when it startles my passengers, but I think even the best jokes can be over used. The power window switch on the same side likes to command...

WORKS AWESOME!!!

Ok, I built a couple of the FCD's. Pretty easy, thanks everyone, especially Vikash! I'll post the results as soon as I get it installed and tested!!! Ok, I installed Vikash's FCD and a home-made brass manual boost controller. My boost is rock solid at 14psi even with a 70hp shot of NOS going! No mo...

I did the nice NGK wires too. I've heard good things about those MSD coils, aren't they the model for a Dodge Neon since they don't make one for our cars? Know what model number(s)? I'm running stock coils, I just have NGK plugs and MSD wires. My plug gaps are set to .030, very narrow I know. I did...

I have a water intercooler with shurflow pump and heater core + fan with a vf-11. I monitored the intake temp on the engine before installing the intercooler, the temps rose over 180F in 3rd WOT. My 1/4 mile times dropped over a second when I added ice to the reservoir. I ran a 15.6 with the ice and...

I just got off the phone with a guy at TRANSGO. He said that the kit for the Subaru is the one that is used by the NISSAN. SKRE4R01A. He said that this is the most complex kit they sell. He said they don't warantee it without professional installation. He also said this is the kind of kit that would...

Well, I decided to just port the wastegate a little bit on the stock VF-11. Since I upped my nitrous shot to 60HP, I can only use it through 1st and 2nd gear, then fuel cut. I was able to pull a 14.1 at PIR though. It's a bummer to have to let off the nitrous. It should be interesting to see how lon...

I moved it up near the bellhousing. Only a couple inches from original location. I think the block down under the intake is too nasty and heard to get to in order to clean it up and make a good connection.

Trans coolers are awesome! That is- if you actually know how to install them. I have seen a lot of bone-head installations where the bone-head routed the trans pressure line into the cooler and then into the radiator cooler. = Cool the trans fluid, then heat it back up before it goes back into the ...

That trans kit sounds interesting. I'll have to learn more about it. I was actually planning on a 5mt swap in the near future but my land speed car is taking up all of my time and money right now. My wife's 97 Leg GT has torque bind real bad and I was just going to donate my 4EAT to the cause during...

That's cool, has anyone put a setup on without the aid of an intercooler? Also is it true that this setup will gain you about 25 wheel horsepower? The claims of this are pretty good.....it seems like it would work better than an intercooler? I ran 125psi water/meth without an intercooler and it dro...

my $.02: Keep the PCV. Use radiator hose because it's cheap and it will last a couple years at least, as long as your compressor isn't dumping oil into it. Then you will have the right dimensions for the tube and you can fabricate a metal tube and use silicon connections. The turbo will be blowing b...

Mine is too small :(

My stock turbo, you silly bastards. I installed a 40HP shot of nitrous and my boost creeps past 12psi and I hit fuel cut, or rather partial fuel cut because the N2O is a wet kit. It is one hell of a ride though for that 4 or 5 seconds before this. I need to get a bigger turbo and wastegate, I might ...
