yeah, oil pump and water pump arent necessary but always a good idea. STi timing belt wont work on your car, and its probably $150 anyway.

cams seals and front main seal. new tensioner is like $100 though :( you also could get new idler pulleys, but those are like $40 a piece also.

I use wrx mounts personally. I have an extra set if you need them. A lot better than 2.2 mounts.

Re: Teach me how to calculate CR

The reason I ask, is because I want to know whether the EJ205 heads will bring the CR down to boost-friendly levels, or whether I'm gonna have to have some custom pistons built, which would be EJ18 bore and most likely have a cupped crown like the EJ22T pistons. Any help would be greatly appreciate...

With the EJ18 gasket it comes out to 7.86:1 with the EJ205 head gasket 8.33:1 thats from me looking at ejcalcs and typing in the numbers to the link provided above.

If you dont care about oil feed and returns I would go with Ej25 heads either dohc or sohc. The flow great without any work, and dont have those feeds.

matches really well, and those seats are very comfortable. I thought about them, but I dont like how they sit higher. Do you think you could swap over the legacy rails and make them close to stock?

the STi crank pulley isnt any better or worse than a stock one from our car. Well since its newer it might be balanced better than an old one though. I have a couple stockers laying around you can have if you want.

WRX cat back

I know this has been discussed a lot, but I couldnt find the info I was looking for. When we talk about a wrx catback, we are talking about a mid-pipe that contains a resonator and axle back. Is this correct? When I look at pics of stock legacy exhaust it seems that off the header there is a short p...

Ok so do you guys think a s-afc or e-manage along with getting tuned at the shop be a good setup? or a waste of money? Im wondering about the e-manage everything I have read about consists of "its too slow for subaru ecus" but I know that Matt Monson used one on his friends car.
