What is too light for a flywheel? I can get a fidanza flywheel for $299... but it only weighs 9.6 lbs! http://www.jscspeed.com/wrx/clutch.htm - I wanted to shoot for 12-14lbs because that is how light STi makes them. Will I regret getting this light of a flywheel? The car is going to be a daily-driv...

You can never over-estimate practice either. Everytime there is a good snow on the ground you have to get your butt out there that night to practice before those pesky plow trucks come by and other people try to drive on the roads. I got pretty awesome at drifting in my 4wd Brat which is a little mo...

The performance shop around the corner from me said that the WRX clutch assembly was 5mm larger in diameter... So it still has no problem fitting? I'm about to do this and I don't want my car stuck on the rack because the WRX one won't fit... Also, ACT seems to be behind in production... anyone know...

I need a clutch for my turbo... right now! The cruise control will make it slip on the highway... 2 lbs of boost below 3k rpm is all it takes. I can't find an ACT dealer for the life of me. I'm looking for the one that will hold 330 lb/ft of torque or so, with a sprung hub of course . ACT has a part...

Purge valve? I'm not an idiot around the engine... but I would have to look that one up... can you give some visual clues to which one to pull? Maybe a circle on a photo... every person I know that has a shop around here has no idea about doing this water ingestion on a fuel-injected vehicle. *shrug...

Actually I think I might want to do this myself considering the job that the shop did on my a-pillar pod... *sighhhh* I wish the shop i used to go to didn't go under, they did awesome work. Did a completely custom system in my Brat that you can't even tell is there, all stock locations - but you guy...

Turbo Timer Harness Question
I just bought a Greddy GTT2 Turbo Timer (JDM). The performance shop around the corner from me said there is no harness available for my car, of course I doubt they would have a listing for a '93 Turbo Legacy... how many cars does the 93 share it's ignition switch harness with (in other words, will a...

If you look at a Subaru Chassis next to one with front-wheel drive and such, you'll see that most non-subarus have un-equal length drive shafts. What this can do is fool the diff into giving one wheel more torque than the other (torque steer, etc). For instance, in these cars if you downshift really...

I am aware of what Anti-Lag Systems are (and why no manufacturer would dare put them on a street car), and I don't want my car backfiring. I was just checking into any magical flames that would appear after straight-pipe installation. I heard somewhere about the unburnt fuel hitting the cat, but it ...

Is it true that with straight pipes sometimes when enough unburnt fuel hits the cat it will reignite and a flame will come out of the tailpipe? Cuz if straight pipes and one cat mean i can occasionally have fire come out of my pipes I'm all for it! If not... what kind of exhaust set-up will let flam...

I weigh mine for free. On the way to work down the street from me there is a rock place that has a big scale. I go in and the lady tells me what it weighs. That was with 4 gallons of gas in it (i went and filled up right after). Full tank plus me takes the weight up to around 3226 (estimated). I wei...

My Legacy hit 121 mph on the speedo... This is with WRX rims and tires which are slightly larger than OEM. My speedo also does the little pause then catch up deal with the needle. I don't know about Subaru speed limiters (don't have to worry about those in a Brat) but many manufacturers set it at 13...
