No ver.7's come with a twinscroll factory, even the spec C or RA's didnt get one. The twinscrolls really do get the turbo spooling much faster, and im pretty sure they are close to equal length as if ur herd a TS car they sound like an evo or similar. Also they do pull more on they dyno as they are ...

Using the stock injectors (380) will be fine as long as u stay in open loop, as the computer will do all it can to keep at 14.7, come into closed loop as u will run rich no doubt

The biggest bastard of the TBelt change for the quadcams is the cams that are sitting on the top of the lobe. When they come off it they spin pretty quick and usually end up taking a substancial chunk of skin with it. Vicegrips help lots too :) I recall someone mentioning a tool made for rem...

Use a stick of similar to put thru the bolt hole on the sensor, position the sensor using the stick (need to bend the sensor wire so the sensor stays in place . Now get some blue tac (dunno what its called in the US) to hold in the bolt and over it to the block and thru the sensor, now u can push th...

Instead of using the ej22 coil pack and plug wires, I am thinking about retaining the four ej20 coils and having cylinders 1/3 and 2/4 fire simultaneously (just like the ej22 system). This would require two coils to fire at the same time. Will the igniter be able to handle this? Any other reasons t...

I have had confrmation from possum bourne motorsport that they are 380cc, also power levels people have pulled from the EJ20G injectors are pretty much spot on for 380cc . Maybe the injector company uses a diffent test method to the poeple the make the injectors that results in a differnt CC rating??

Senice 1997 they had used the reverse intake manifold, 2000 they moved the intercooler to the top grill position and turned the turbo 90deg so the inlet faced up where they used the scoop as the intake. In 2002 they changed back to basicly what they has in 1997!!!! altho the cooler is still in the t...

The cross-pipe will work. I think you have to change some wiring too when swapping in an EJ20G. PM Matt Monson, I think he has a wiring harness adapter for the EJ22T to EJ20G swap. You'll be running rich with the EJ20G 440cc injectors. That's better then running lean though. :) I was actually looki...

The flexplate is very strong indeed, It can handle doing up that bolt no sweat, No need to pull the rad, lots of space just removing the fans. At least u didnt have to deal with the 4 cams like us RS guys

Surprisingly, there doesn't seem to be too much oil in the cylinder...maybe it is a bad valve. Does anyone know if usdm wrx intake manifold gaskets will work on the older ej20g? I had to take the manifold off to switch harnesses. UDSM WRX (02 on ?) gaskets will not work, the bolt pattern changed in...

Matt - Why is it important to change the oil right before swapping turbos? Your brand new, unbroken in turbo sucks up a bunch of used chunky oil on its first spin of life. If its a used turbo it wont matter, why would used oil be chunky????. Also if it was a brand new turbo u would be morin inclind...

Ideally, the scoop would look like that on the WRC car, which is not only not as tall, but smoother. . Why would it look like the WRC's scoop? it doesnt even serve a purpuse. Its just there for deceration becuase the bonnet/hood scoop is a subaru trademark. I say use a GC8 A or B scoop (early WRX) ...
