when i put new boots on my axles, the passenger side axle shaft came out of the hub no problem. but, the driver side would NOT come out. we tried for 2 hrs and finally took off the whole brake/hub assembly from the car.

teaguespeed, why would you want sti 22b heads?
just port/polish the stock ej22g heads that are already on your car and they will be great.

Legacy777, what we are talking about here is putting ej25 heads on an ej22 engine. if you do that, then the Compression ratio will go down. you were referring to ej22 heads on a ej25 engine.....C/R goes up. FrmRgz2Rchz, you don't need ej25 heads cams to do the upgrade. just crank and rods. your comp...

okay, our turbo is similar in size to a stock wrx turbo. maybe just smaller. the wrx turbo on a 2.0l can only be run up to about 16psi effeciently. if you reason on it, really, our 2.2l & the little IHI rhb5 is only effective up to about 14psi.

no, it is not just as simple as that. you need to make sure you get a phase 1 2.5 crank. then, get phase 1 2.5 rods and have custom pistons made. cause, you might be able to use the factory ej22 pistons, but i am not sure. i think you would need new ones. just putting in crank and rods and keeping t...

Yeah, that guy rocks! He is actually running 23psi daily but had taken it up to 30psi (not sustained though as mentioned above). so, down here close to sea level it is about 20psi. oh, and his motor is not completely stock but close to it. new heads, rods, pistons. like he said, tuning is the key to...

I say no. i think it looks fine. it would only look better if you could remove it entirely, but then you would need new front and rear bumpers. I just want to remove the chrome stripes, but leave the black trim. my 2 cents. :D

morgie, will this thing just plug right into our ecu? no splicing? oh and you said, every 900 rpms fuel tuning, wouldn't it be every 750 rpms. 0-6500 rpm minus ~500 idle equals approx. 6000. 6000/8 = 750. anyway, i am looking forward to seeing what happens. hopefully your ecu won't catch fire!

I am pretty sure it has 200hp and about 210 torque. it is an ej20t, it has more top end power than the ej22t. it redlines at 7k. other than that, the internals should be the same as an ej22t.

the first situation was fuel cut, the auto-x situation was definately fuel starvation. it happened to me once with less than 1/4 when i tried to drift around a dry corner.
