Re: Late PH1 EJ22 Grey Top injectors, any info?
Yeah I guess that would make the most sense. I was hoping to send out some red top injectors to get rebuilt and swap them out. Guess I need to go hit the junkyard. thank!!!

Late PH1 EJ22 Grey Top injectors, any info?
Greetings, man it's been a hot minute since I've been on here. :) I have a question about some injectors I pulled from a parts engine, it was a 96-97 legacy 2.2 and they came with grey top injectors. All my searching tells me there were really early grey tops, then red tops for a long time, but no o...

Re: Drop in voltage from fuse panel to main relay with stall
so i just wanted to give some updates because I got a chance to get out the garage and put my car back together. What I did was run a pretty hefty wire, 8 gauge (it was all I had), from the battery to the location of the main relay. Once I got to the area of the main relay I spilt to the 8 gauge to ...

Re: Drop in voltage from fuse panel to main relay with stall
Alright so I got a chance to play around today in the garage. And here is what I found and did. So i was measuring voltage at the two places I was thinking I had any issues, at the ecu and at the main relay. When the car was off, the voltage at the constant power at the ecu, the main relay, the batt...

Well let us know what you find. I haven't had any time to get under the dash of the car. This summer school is kicking my ever living ass.

Re: Drop in voltage from fuse panel to main relay with stall
That's my plan, but as a temporary check I was just going to run something from the battery first to check I out.
And I did check the wire from the relay to the fuse panel, it checked out just fine.

Re: Drop in voltage from fuse panel to main relay with stall
Yeah mine is well over .5v drop. I'm also wondering if the old wiring is the culprit. My next thing I'm going to try is to run a good gauged wire from the battery to the input side of the main relay wiring. That way I know that for sure it's getting solid battery voltage. and then do my voltage test...

Re: Drop in voltage from fuse panel to main relay with stall
Have you measured voltage at your main relay? Im curious if you have the same thing I do.
Or I wonder if a voltage drop is something normal.

Re: Drop in voltage from fuse panel to main relay with stall
Yeah it used to be an auto, but I pinned the ecu to be a manual and added the nutral switch. But that's an interesting idea though. I wonder if swapping made some issue I cant foresee. Whenever you get a chance I would like to hear what you find. I'm going to keep playing around and see what I can f...

Drop in voltage from fuse panel to main relay with stalling
So driving around the last few times I noticed that every once in a while I would get a small hiccup like the car stopped running just for second then came back to life. Didn't really think much of it until the first time it happened at a stop light and it was enough to kill the motor. It would fire...

Re: WTB first gen factory radio
Mine looks 99% like that picture... No Aux input thing, but somehow I don't think that is factory. $10 sound fair? I'll make sure to wrap it up good. Send me an email if you want it! subarutex AT gmail Yeah that sounds fair. And actually that was a factory aux port in I believe the early yeared one...

WTB first gen factory radio
Im looking to pick up a stock first gen radio. yes the chunky oddly shaped thing I'm sure a lot of people just tossed in the trash years ago. Mine is crapping out on the drivers side. Doesn't have to have to have the aux input but I need the 13 pin plug to be there on the back (not sure if that was ...

Re: Finally a real rwd option is in the works
Uh, sadly probably about the time I'm done with school. How ever this gives me plenty of time to work out any bugs rather then them springing up on stage. Not unless I happen to find me a nice sugarmama. ;) But I'll still be driving the crap out of this thing, I didn't build a super reliable cool ca...

Re: Finally a real rwd option is in the works
It's also probably a new experience to know your tranny will no longer be the weak link in the system. So shifts are harder, the gas is pushed just a little bit further. And yes these have actually been available for quite awhile now. I got the first one he made so I could give him some feed back, a...

Re: Finally a real rwd option is in the works
The lack of a neutral switch in the tranny would be about the only thing I can think it might be cranky about, not unless he didn't hook up a speedo cable, then it could be the speed sensor also.

Re: Finally a real rwd option is in the works
You may look into putting a momentary button on your clutch pedal to mimic the tranny passing through neutral, if that ends up being the case.

Re: Finally a real rwd option is in the works
3 main things get in the way when you want to start moving the Subaru motor back. 2 I ran into with my mazdaru, the intake tube and the starter. The third being the oil pan. The Subaru is a "front" sump as it sit in front of the subframe. Let's just say, it would be a whole hell of a lot o...
