What did you do to your Subie today?
I replaced my moon roof with an intake manifold, should be good for 23hp
...actually deride's former SS remains are on my trailer, and as I clean m garage I needed a way to get the scrap in to the car.

A little birdie told me that when using the 25d heads you need to swap in turbo cams (20g I think fit?) because else the duration is too much and you actually end up blowing boost out the exhaust valves... I'll be building an ej255/25d/20k/22t hybrid this winter. 255short block, 25d heads, 20k intak...

If you could look at the diagrams and tell me where those wires go I would greatly appreciate it! I don't have a PC, and my iPhone won't let me open the diagram you linked above.

Well I still can't figure this out. I tried a third alternator, that had no affect so it's a wiring issue for sure. I played with the voltmeter, and with the alt unplugged, I'm getting the same volts on the battery as the alternator harness, so it's not giving the regulator the wring reading and cau...

I'm referring to the 2-wire harness offset to the left.
I don't do wiring diagrams, but everything I've read says there is nothing to rewire, people go 2.5-2.2 quite a bit, the reverse shouldn't e any different haha.
I've gotta go buy a volt meter tonight and do some investigation.

Ok, this past weekend I swapped a 97' 2.5 into my 97' L. So 2.2 out and 2.5 in. For some reason it is constantly blowing the fusible link. I have figured out through trial and error that it blows only when I plug the harness into the alternator. If I leave the alternator plug in disconnected it runs...

Has anyone heard/ seen anyone running an ej255 with ej25d heads? I dont know why it wouldn't work, but I would just like to confirm before spending the $$$ on the shirt block.

I'd buy that car all day long for $4-500, fix the headgaskets, and throw it back on CL for $2000 going into the winter. Up in Duluth that car as is would probably be selling for $1000

I filled the 92' SS with scrap, crushed it, and made sure there was nothing else from the BD I wanted.

How Could that possibly be dangerous? It's not tight enough to be putting pressure on anything, and if you've ever pulled those fuel lines you should know that they aren't coming off with out extreme effort

All our Subarus have that as the permanent spot, I just hook the far end around one one of the metal fuel lines, works fine, doesn't rattle at all, my SS was like that, and my current BD and fiancés GC are all like that.

I've found that at NAPA you can buy like 3 feet chunks of semi intercooler piping stuff for way cheaper than silicon couplers, they are reinforced rubber.
