Re: EJ22 to turbo rebuild
What are your power goals? The NA EJ22 is great for low PSI turbo add-ons. With EM you can probably get 10 PSI or (a bit) more. Search on here under Reddevil for NA turbo builds. Re: Fuel cut after 25% throttle??
codes = http://legacycentral.org/library/literature/codes.htm 22 = knock sensor / KS 45 = Press. Sensor 49 = MAF 51 = Neutral switch The KS needs replaced. It's causing your car to go into LIMP mode. 99% of Legacys from '90-'95 will have cracked KS by now (and years ago). Get a new one - supposedly...

KS is one wire w/a shield. Depending on where you broke it, people (including me) have used microphone cable/wire to replace it.

regardless...the code is 22. BUT that is the 'stored code'. Read the above link to get the ACTIVE/current codes. ...and grab a 12mm socket, long extender and remove the KS and check for cracks and/or wiring issues....the wiring also fails on these oldies - where they connect to the harness. Re: knock sensor desensitization for forged pistons?
+1 on the knock sensor to the top of the bellhousing....but I also was having other issues (later diagnosed as a cracked ringland) that probably were the main issue - stock block. But moving it allowed the RT to work better. I'd think this would be more 'noted' on here if it were a common issue w/fo...

you've checked the Voltage @ the MAF wiring? Probably could use a resistor (?) to lower to the 5V or whatever it should be. What does Wiring Trim mean? Merged harness?

Yeah...good work. :smt023 I wonder if the FSM would be for the following year? Was '96 a transition year for the JDM/EDM/AUDM versions? I have NO experience w/either COP nor the next gen of the EJ20xx ('96+ EJ20K ?). But if the FSM's are translated, would that explain some of the errors? Or just 'hu...

Getting stale and I think I answered this elsewhere, so ignore if ' a repeat'. I assumed that phase II transmissions were in cars with phase II engines. True. '99 was both engines and trans. Ok...final post as this is getting too confusing. I'm only familiar w/doing a complete strut swap..rear top hats as needed...none of this spring swapping. Ah, er....Um....not really.......Sorry I'm not clear. I'd request you do some more searching on this as it's covered - USMB is a good option. The 205/60R-15 OB tire diameter/height is about 2" more than the 195/60R-15's on the SS. Unless, i'm missing something, the spring perch on the OB/Forest...

I didn't state you could use your stock spring. Why is that important?
And not sure you can as it'll likely be too short and won't fit/hold up the top hat.
