Yeah, I figured that out. I got the motor in last night and the clutch feels good, well as far as just pushing the pedal.

Now I need to figure out what starter I need?

I lost way to much stuff.

Plus I need to mount and plumb the FMIC and turbo

Yeah, it's bolts right in. The braket that holds the hard line even lines right up with the pre threaded hole under the dog-bone mount. Like it belongs there. 8) I don't have the motor back in yet but I'm sure it will work OK when I do. So is that 3mm gonna make a huge difference or can I still use ...

WRX hydro clutch swap and flywheel Q's

Has anyone swap swapped to the much simpler WRX clutch master and slave? Well I just did, I got a deal on the parts and I had used my stock slave in an SVX conversion many years ago so I needed one anyway. I don't know why the Legacy used such a complex munti peice hydro assembly, but it looks alot ...

Yeah, I plan to modify the UP and DP, bending and welding pipe is no problem for me. I just picked up the TD04 and a bunch of other stuff I misplaced or used in the two years I've had this thing apart :? I still need to score a rear diff but I think I have a line on that. The last thing I'll ...

Yeah, what he said :) How much do I have to change really? Do they use different flanges? Shound I grab the up pipe and down pipe? Differnt oil and water feed lines? Obviously I need to mod all of that anyway to move the turbo around. I got no problem with that, and it's good to know that I can easi...

Sweet, sounds like what I want to do. I was just gonna build a custom UP and DP to turn the turbo so I could go strait in from the side. I'm assuming the extra .2L will spool the TD04 up a little faster than in the WRX? Thaks for the info guys, I needed to know soon to decide if I wanted to pick up ...

What to do. Need to know quik.

Well after 2 years of sitting I'm finnaly putting my Legacy back together. What I need to know is what Turbo is better. I can get a good deal on a 03 WRX turbo but would this be an upgrade from stock? It looks smaller? I have a FMIC I will be using and I have an HKS EBC. I had been running 11psi (I ...

I always thought there were alot of other sites for the newer Legacys. Everytime I searched for Turbo Legacy, I got info on newer models like either Libertys or 2.5GTs. Thats what I like about this site is that its all BC-BF, as stated in the other thread "Most under appreciated car of the 90's...

I almost prefer the 90-94 Legacy over the newer ones. The 95-99's don't really have anything over the BC-BF's other than the leakyhead gasket 2.5L or the single exaust port 2.2L  I have no problem buying or telling someone to buy a 200K mile BC-BF for $500 instead of spending $5,000 to $10,000...

It will work pretty good with the stock NA ECU. Thats basicly the same set up I,m running in my Loyal. I just have the wastgate valve running right back to mannifold pressure so it runs about 7 to 10 psi depending on how hard I get on it. The only difference is that I'm running an NA block with all ...

Lets forget about the wing OK? The question should really be what do you want to get ready to do next? Bigger wheels make room for bigger brakes. Bigger exaust makes room for more boost. New turbo and intercooler make room for EMS. Or is that the other way around? A big aluminum wing make room for i...

My boss is a spicy food freak, he gets this habanero cheese that is some hot shite. Last time I had it I think I over did my serving size, I can put them down with some Tricuits but the next morning my ass was on fire  He also buys this "soupy" stuff that is awsome, also to be diges...

True, very good advice. If it's gonna be your first car just drive it into the ground. The Legacy has enough power to get you in trouble without a turbo. Plus being FWD you can explore the fun of E-brakes, every 16 year old wants to do E-brakes. ( something I never got to do growing up on BRATs, Loy...

Your two best power mod options are to either drop a 2.5L block between the heads or swap in a 2.2L Turbo. The 2.5L swap would be eisiest but depending on what and where you can find for parts the cost could be the same. WRX guys are ussually throwing away their 16" wheels for 17"s, so you...

I was thinking of mainly the 89 to 91 models. I just found an assesory catalog for thoes models and it dosn't even list an LSi, I guess they didn't make them yet. There is also a picture of the auto climate control but does not list it as an option on any car. :?

No way the EJ18 (I think it was called ) only appered in early L model Imprezzas. The base model Legacys were only avalible in 89 and 90, they dropped them the year they came out with the Turbo. The base Legacys did come with manual everything a 2.2L and no AC. I imagine you could get them with eith...

I think the only place your gona find that kind of info on the EZ30 is if you take one apart and measure for yourself. I'v heard stories about turboed 3.0L's from Cobb and such but wonder how well they will really hold up in the end. But, does anyone know how well the 3.0L will fit into our engine b...
