Make sure you check the firewall for any missing plugs. Especially if you took the AC out or if you don't have one. The seal for the Evaporator lines is right behind the downpipe. It can suck a lot of fumes in from there.

Sorry about the whole making knocking worse but you can prolly call up the dealership and see what is book time to pull the motor. Considering this is the time the shops are supposed to use to know how much to charge. Just try to find out what they are charging for everything because you can always ...

You sure it's not spark knock? Could be and injector going out and the cylinder isn't getting enough fuel to where the cylinder is just knocking? If it was a bearings I would assume that it would be knocking no matter where the rpm's are. For being quoted five grand to have your motor pulled and reb...

Ahh, ok. I need to stop reading for tonight. Everything is starting to run in to each other and turn into lines. Figured that was why he was asking if the wiring would just plug into each other. Being an OBD II ecu, Couldn't Biggreen96 splice or swap the wires to the correct terminals for the sensor...

I bet the firmware isn't that secured to where you can just use a hex editor to change the serial number it needs to look for. But not having a G3, the firmware, nor the software  can't really say much. But any who, How much power are you going for Josh, or are you trying to go for and EMU to ...

This is off topic but wouldn't replacing the headgasket be easier than, if it can work, to swap heads and motor?

The FSM for the '91 is showing that it has the delay APM. Also what I found out with my sending unit on the pump side is that the arm for the float has a lot of play. Making it loose contact with the circuit bord that causes the resistance. I just popped the arm out of the clip so it will push the t...

In the trunk on the left hand side "driver side". It should be near the power antenna. Has two plugs in it.

Are you talking about the Key warning chime???? It look like it's in the Combination meter like Lego said but it runs through the Automatic seat belt control unit. Try unplugging the big plug on the control unit and see if that stops the dinger. If so, the books shows it is terminal 4 on that plug t...

How about a roll bar behind the front seats?Rather than a full 6 or 8 PT rollcage? Would a rollbar help that much in a crash? Which way are you crashing? A roll cage is just that. A cage that is designed in case you were to roll the car. It will keep the roof from collapsing in on you. Especially i...

I came across it while googling the part number for the piston pin removal tool from my factory service manual since the dealership told me they don't order tools. 1stsubaruparts has it from about $144! I was able to get mine out with a hanger, but for every job there is a right tool to use

I'm reminded of an ex gf. She had an S2000. I mentioned to her that the rear tires were getting down there, and she should look at replacing them. If you can find somewhere to steam clean the engine bay. It might help you find where the leak is that is causing the oil vapor to get on the turbo.
