No more Updates. I traded the Leggy for an MR2 MK1. I gave my friend the better deal but he knows nothing of the platform or how to fix what I modded. But I'll still be hanging around XD. Only traded because of moving to Cali in a few months, it has no modifications done to it, and I always wanted o...

What would you like an update on?? The HKS SFAC for some reason went in to 8 cylinder mode. So I disconnected it for the time being. The walbro is installed and now I smell gas in the car. Haven't been able to find out why yet. It only smells for like a few minutes some time and other times it don't...

clutch pedal returns half way

I was just wondering if anyone else has this problem with their clutch pedal only retuning half way. It seems that it's just the spring or something isn't right. The master cylinder isn't leaking and returns fully. Just not the pedal. Asking about it because I'm looking in to getting a WOT box and I...

Hmmmm, very true. I trust my rebuild. If anything I think the headgasket will let loose first, but we will see.

The walbro came in today so it's installed. Let the fun begin

FS 91ss fuel pump and A/C compressor

I just replaced the fuel pump with a 255lph pump. The fuel pump has 245,000 mile on it. Up for grabs for only a mere $20 :-D The Compressor is still in a box since January. Somebody I forgot who on the board never sent me a check so I still have it. So it's up for $50. Both prices are shipped in the...

The thing that killed me is he said his friend knows Hondas and not Audis. If you put sand threw any motor. The end result will be the same. Should have used baking soda :-D I heard diesel motors make more torque. Do you think if I put diesel in my gas tank. Will my engine make more torque? Maybe th...

I'll hook the Evoscan up to the car when I got the chance to use the laptop to see what the timing is looking like. I mounted my knock sensor a little higher tho. Pretty much where the engine and trans mount together.

We tuned for 12.5 because the SAFC was maxed out pretty much around 4500-5000. Just wanted a more consistent fuel delivery instead of a lot now then a little then more again. Still waiting for the pump to come in and get a fuel regulator. I already had the hose off of it before. It was mainly becaus...

Kinda dissapointed.

Well, for the past two days I've been fixing the Subi. Found out my crank shaft seal and oil pump gasket was leaking. The seal was because the heat ring came off while installing the pump and the gasket was leaking because I didn't use RTV on the block side. Changed the oil, put a tighter spring in ...

Hey guys, I've got a 98 1.8T. I've had a k04 and chip for a while and wanted to get more performance. I was recommended to port and polish the intake and exhaust. We found out they used abrasive material to do it like gritty sand. So I got with my friend that tunes Hondas and we decided to try it ou...

Hold one wire on to the injector terminal and tap the other one on to the other terminal. You should be able to here it click. If not, then it's sticking or dea...

Is the fuel lines hooked up right? you might have the return and supply swapped.

Re: Rebuilt Turbo Swap/Initial Startup Problems - (Codes, 35

I've wired in the two boost sensors/solenoids ???? What two boost sensors/solenoids????? code 35, just replace the canister purge solenoid or make sure it's plugged in first. code 45, sorry man, but the ecu has to be replaced. You sure you swapped the ecu? The FSM shows the code for Non-turbo vehic...

Just keep them in oil until you put the heads back together. It won't hurt to bleed them out. Who knows, you might find a bad one "knock on wood"

house hold cleaner. Calcium Lime Rust cleaner is what it is. I just put that in the system and let it run around for about 15 to 20 minutes. Then let that drain and run water through the system open while the motor is on.

More torque likely due to the fact that it spools faster. So you get it earlier. Not really gaining anything. Just changing the powerband.

I read on some of those turbo timer controllers with an electronically boost gauge. It might just be a warning if you go past a certain pressure it would buzz at you.

Just remember when you down shift to slow down. The vacuum from the intake manifold will suck oil past the piston rings.

With out hearing the noise I'm taking a guess that it wasn't because you didn't grease the fork and shaft where the throwout bearing sits and connects to, but it is most likely the clutch is glazed over With you easing the clutch out to have a smooth shift is glazing your clutch. It's almost like an...

Which turbo timer/boost controller is it? If you hook a voltmeter to the wire, does it produce a current or not?
