Re: Had a little ice racing yesterday...
Love the shot of the rx7 coming out of the chicanne there, and the plane was cool, he was circling the track for a while.

http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5128/5382573533_51a63ffa94_z.jpg I was practically pulling myself out of the seat willing the car to get traction and turn better. Future races should be a road course instead of the oval. Yes, club insurance only covers damage to persons/property not involved in the ...

some iso-heet didn't help, turned boost down to 5-7psi, no significant change. Gonna try siphoning the tank tommorow.

Re: backfiring.... bad gas?
I do have a wideband, an lc1. I thought about that this morning, I can probably get it hooked up tommorow, also run in diagnostic mode for troubleshooting.

backfiring.... bad gas?
My car started hesitating and bacfiring yesterday about the same time I filled up with fuel (90 chevron, the best we have available). It does it at 1/2-3/4 throttle around 5-6#. I'm pretty sure I can hear it popping back through the intake. Car was running fine in the morning, filled up on the way h...

Check the susp. sticky for spring rates, I think wagon springs are a bit stronger.

Re: lossing power when engine is warm.
Found the harness on my FCD partially unplugged, short test drive wasn't able to duplicate the problem. Hopefully that was it, now I just need to figure out the right way to clear these codes...

Re: lossing power when engine is warm.
I just tried a couple times to reset the ECU, either I'm doing it wrong (probable) or I'm getting the same codes again.
While driving in check mode to reset, the CEL started flashing code 45. Since I have a Fuel Cut Defender I'm gonna make sure the wiring on that thing didn't get messed up.

Re: lossing power when engine is warm.
got a 22 (Knock Sensor), 23 (Air Flow Sensor), and 45 (Pressure sense and exchange). When I drove the other day the boost controller lines had been disconected and I overboosted and got fuel-cut a few times, I think thats what the 22 and 45 are from. gonna see how to check the MAF, I assume thats wh...

lossing power when engine is warm.
Just fixed my car after smashing the front left corner, now it cuts out once it gets up to temp. Car runs great cold, but then throws a code and will only run up to about 1/4 throttle. Let the car cool off and it runs good, CEL goes out. I haven't pulled the code yet but will after work.
Any advice?

Re: legacy lift
been a while since I brushed up on this, but here ya go. Swapping springs might help you little, your springs could be overworked and worn out. Most of the lift from the OB/Forester swap is from a different strut design, so without swapping struts not much happens. Swapping struts sometimes neccesit...

Re: 2010 Alcan 5000 Summer Rally
for the alcan I'd keep it simple and stick with the factory ECU. Very mild boost controller, FCD. If need be you can delete the boost controller and Fuel Cut and finish stock. I also wouldn't waste money on SS lines unless yours are obviously shot and/or you've nothing else to spend money on. If you...
