I tried depinning the ecu pins. The OBD II pins are larger and slightly different sized and wouldn't fit into the OBD I plugs.

How are you guys driving your car getting these MPG numbers? Mostly conservative? We had a local cruise today and it was a lot of spirited driving and I got crap gas mileage, like a 100 miles for a half tank.

I have an Excedy stage II clutch in my Impreza and I get a similar noise under decel as well. Like you, I keep checking everything under the car, and can't find anything that would be making noise. I had never heard of the spring thing with the clutch till Josh posted that.

I usually use sockets or anything I can find lying around in the garage that will match the diameter of the seal. I have used a oil filter socket once to put the rear main seal in.
