Re: Coolant bubbles out of my exp. tank after hard driving
Yeah, that much heat over years will lead to that.

Re: legacy turbo 94 pcv valve
They are pretty cheap, so i would just replace it. Whats going on with your car that lead you to the pcv valve?

Re: Coolant bubbles out of my exp. tank after hard driving
If i'm understanding you right, you mean the top of the tank that bolts to the bowl part of the tank? I've never unbolted the top of mine but i suspect there is probably a gasket or at least silicone that seals the two halves together. So if bubbles are coming out of it, take it apart, clean it, and...

Re: Need some help here..........
The coolant temp sensor helps the ecu determine ignition timing through the temp. So, if it is bad, it will run crappy. I ran water in my car for a little while in the summer & the temp difference gave me a low idle.

Re: Fuel lose, enginge surge
Do you have an exhaust leak anywhere close to the manifold? I had a corolla once that did the same thing and it was due to an exhaust leak on the manifold. No back pressure.

Re: Crank Bolt Torque Spec
The haynes books say 70-80ftlbs for the 2.2 and 90-100ftlbs for the 2.5. The Chiltons book says 69-76ftlbs for the 2.2 and 94ftlbs for the 2.5. I usually tighten mine to 100 ftlbs.

Re: who built a ej22e turbo
I haven't turboed the ej22e but my buddy did in his 95 legacy. He used his stock ecu with a piggyback(not sure what one), a wrx manifold, uppipe, turbo, and downpipe. He had the 2.5rs fuel pump and injectors i think, wrx intercooler. Regardless, it woul be a waste of time and money if you want any kind...

Re: legacy turbo 94 pcv valve
The pcv valve is threaded into the manifold just to the left of the throttle body, if i remember right it is a 19 mm. Careful taking off the hose though, they tend to get brittle over time and will snap off.

Re: What size outlet for cone filter?
for anyone with same issue in the future, i bought a universal maf adapter from shucks/oreillys for 10 bucks. the bolt patterns won't match up. I just centered it up to the maf, marked the holes, then drilled my own holes. A 3 in cone will fit right on. Works and looks great

Re: Boosting lower than normal..
I figured out the cel thing, whoever owned the car before me had rigged up a switch and connector for using multi meter or something. So, i bypassed all that and am getting a code 32 & 49. So, i'm going to replace the 02 sensor, check and clean the MAF. I am using the turbo aluminum MAF before a...

Re: Boosting lower than normal..
This morning i drove my wife to work, was coming back on the freeway, in 5th accelerated to 70, and wouldn't boost past 2lbs. Then my cel lit up which i was actually happy about so i could get some insight on what the hell is going on. So, when i got home i plugged in the diagnostic connectors and t...

Re: Boosting lower than normal..
yeah i'm using all the turbo specific sensors & the 694 ecu. It runs great until i get into high rpms, it just won't boost more than 6 pounds. I have been fiddling with it a litte everyday & think it is the wastewater actuator. when i rev it at a standstill, it sounds like i'm getting exhaus...

Re: Boosting lower than normal..
I am also having a similar problem. I swapped the EJ22t into my non turbo 93 wagon this summer with some add ons such as; front mount intercooler with 2.5" pipes, 3" downpipe and 3" exhuast with no cat or muffler, walbro 255lph fuel pump, turboxs blow off valve, intake with cone filte...
