Id imagine it could if the motor already has some underlying issues that are not yet very apparent. I had a legacy gt that would throw misfire codes when I had it loaded up with snowboard gear and passengers while driving up the mountain.

Agreed. The tower braces do essentially NOTHING besides make working on your car absurdly annoying:/ they look cool though.

Hmmmm yeah Subaru's do need OEM thermos. Could be worth a shot. Water pumps usually easiest removing the motor to do well. Youll have to take all timing components off etc. Might as well pull dat sucka and do the head gaskets anyway for p&g's(poopsngiggles).

You won't always see milky coolant or oil. But it sounds like your hg is blown if you've done those other repairs:(

Check to see if you bent the heat shield. I've done this on accident. It makes a nasty metal on metal sound on hard turns.
