Bought a new aftermarket radiator today for $122. Not too bad when some places wanted $350. The end tank is made of metal instead of plastic like the original. Which made me very happy. All back together. Now all I have to do is burp it but darkness came to soon to finish it. Thanks to all for the r...

top radiator hose
Have a question for ya'll. Discovered a leak. Thought it was the top hose. When I pulled it off the neck (under the bleeder screw) on the radiator the neck was crumbling. I was able to get the hose back on after several attempts it didn't leak. My worry now is how long will it last? Do I have to buy...

:D Got it all back together today. I modified the key to fit and used some jb weld on the keyway. Don't know how long it will last but at least the pulley is not out of round or vibrating. I want to thank you all for the help. It really made me feel better to have so many ideas to choose from. Also ...

Thank you all for your help. :D I haven't tackled the job yet. Still trying to decide what to do. I do think I am going to take a shot at it before I go the engine replacement route. I was wondering if anyone knows what would happen if I replace the pulley without the key. My mechanic neighbor recom...

Look on the right hand top of the radiator and you will see what looks like a screw. Run your car until operating temp. Stop the car and loosen the bleeder screw. There should be alot of steam. (BE CAREFUL). Take off the radiator cap and fill the radiator. Coolant should start to flow out the little...

I had the exact same thing happen to me last year. I took it back to the shop that changed the water pump for me. They couldn't find anything wrong with it. I also took it to a radiator shop thinking this might be the problem. They changed the thermostat and it still ran hot. After 3 thermostats, a ...

Guess I'm not that old but sure do feel it. I have arthritis in my neck, shoulder and back. I am 43 y/o. I was told to put the bolt on as tight as I could get it. Didn't think it would break. I am relieved to know that the torque won't be on it now that the head is broken off. I got new drill bits, ...

Broken crankshaft bolt
Heard noise, found crankshaft pulley wobbling. Pulled out pulley found keyway chewed up pretty good. Decided to just change pulley and tighten it down as tight as I could. Never in a million years did I think this would happen. I broke the bolt. Think it bottomed out. Never used an easy out and real...
