Re: Brand New Oil Pump = 70psi Idle Pressure????
Well last night I spent some time on Nasioc and came to the conclusion the high pressures are fairly typical. I guess I need to come to terms with my hypocondriac condition and my car :). But, thank you for the reply Dan. I was hoping your expertise would chime in. I'm not totally comfortable with t...

Brand New Oil Pump = 70psi Idle Pressure????
So I finally got my car started today after having spent the last four weeks trying to just change the timing belt and wear items on the front of the block. Yes, 4 weeks... two and a half weeks and three tries to get the right water pump with the third nipple for the oil cooler, a couple days becaus...

Dan - Exactly right in terms of an enemy. And I would agree, the administration has done a pretty decent job thus far. With regards to shooting an unarmed person - if you've decided they are a threat you just shoot, no hesitation, you just shoot. That's a philosophy that's universally accepted and e...

^+3 However, I am a firm believer that while man has no right, nor the authority, to pass final judgement on another human being - I do believe we have the right, and in some cases the authority, to remove a person from this earth and send them onto their final judgement. This does not mean I believ...

Re: WTB EJ25D or EJ251 shortblock
I have an unassembled phase 1 EJ25. It needs a crank, main bearings, 1 rod, but otherwise I believe it is ready to go. I got it from Chris a couple years ago - http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=42761. I got it for the intentions of putting it together and dropping into my SS but ...

MtHoodRat - I'm not going to tell you which way you should go as there is plenty of evidence to say that this could work but there are also a lot of factors that need to be considered when making this type of change. However, since you're new to the BBS I figured it might be worth noting that severa...

Re: Classic "How are my AFR's", log plots included
Dan, many thanks again for the advice. It's also good to know what you were seeing on your EGT's. I was afraid mine were too high which didn't make any sense to me since I knew I was rich. With regards to too much fuel - I agree that I am too rich and it's hurting power, or more specifically torque....

Re: Classic "How are my AFR's", log plots included
Awesome. Thanks for the replies!! I'm glad to hear other people echo the thoughts on the EGT readings. It's mounted halfway up the up-pipe so I would think it should be in 'cleanish' flow but it's hard to say. I may have found a spot with a small vortici or stagnation. Because I don't have them at t...

Re: Electronic configurable gauges
Sorry for the late response Steve. To answer our question, I don't know about mac compatibility. I haven't touched a mac in years and am not up to speed on mac requirements. Id assume its compatible though of nothing else due to fact zeitronix has been around for a while and sells a lot of wb units.

Re: Classic "How are my AFR's", log plots included
Hmm... okay. I would ideally like them to be at 11.2 anytime I'm above 2psi but in some areas they're a little lean and some areas a little rich. I know that too rich robs power and can potentially wash down cylinder walls but I don't know at what AFR number is really too rich. I do run a nice oil p...

Re: Electronic configurable gauges
Steve, the Zeitronix data display is freakin' sweet. You do have a fair bit of control over the gauge styles. Send me an email - lskidmor@vt.edu and I'll send over the software for you to play with if you'd like. You don't have to have the WB unit to install the software and play with gauge displays...

Re: Classic "How are my AFR's", log plots included
The Zeitronix WB unit doesn't allow me to 'reverse' the TPS scale so our backwards Subaru TPS sensors get logged backwards.
My EM has the ability to account for this so it looks funny on the Zeitronix log but it doesn't effect anything.

Okay. I'll post up the excel spreadsheet for the pulls. It's a lot to look at it but if that's what works best for those volunteering to help me out - I'll be happy to provide it. Manifold pressure is shown on the ZT-2 graphs but I didn't put them on the excel graphs because I figured you'd be able ...

Re: Classic "How are my AFR's", log plots included
Thanks, I like my pretty graphs too :). Tables may be easier to read in some cases, but the Zeitronix system samples at about 47Hz so I have roughly 47 data points per one second. So the graphs provide a better view of what's going on, particularly when things are fairly dynamic. I also only have th...

Classic "How are my AFR's", log plots included
Well I'm getting my car running again for race season which means I need to continue evaluating my AFR's and my tune. It seems to run pretty well but some areas are a little rich and some are a little lean. I do plan on getting everything where it's all an even 11.2 AFR anytime pressure is above 2-3...

Would you be interested in selling just the throttle body? I'm running 20h heads and already have my intake manifold ceramic coated but would like a proper throttle body. If you don't want to seperate them, that's understandable. But thought I'd ask just in case you were and the price was reasonable...

No dyno numbers yet. I'm still running just wastegate boost, 10.5psi, but considering how it seems to stack up against other cars and the old configuration I'm saying it's around 230 chp. Dyno numbers will follow this summer once I get it fully tuned out and the boost turned up :). The thing stickin...

WTB : 3in inlet, twin tip muffler
Auto-X season is coming up and it's time to get the Legacy back out of the garage and onto the road. I'm back down in the CDA area where the 5-0 cares about the loudness of your car and the flash of your muffler. I currently have a big rice can that I just don't like and is apt to get me pulled over...
