if you dont mind getting a set of V-brakes, shimano makes some pretty nice ones that set adjust the pads to keep them parallel to the rim as they clamp in. very kool and they give plenty of stopping power. they are also lighter than discs. but if you want discs, i would recommend the avid mechanical...
