Re: Rotating Pictures - New Style

I'm not lazy, I'm just not here a lot. Also, it's a very particular process I use to get things looking good. That, and an operating-system reinstall generally feels like a reshuffle anyways. I'm going to see if I can get this in the groove today and hopefully find out where the queue starts and end...

Re: F/S 94 legacy sport sedan, Utah

I really should have bought this car when I had the chance, being a local, but it wasn't meant to happen.

Glad to see its new owner here on LC, Tbly89. Maybe I'll see you around the valley.

Re: Legacy Central Logo / Decal

I like a few of these designs, especially the logo-less version in the first post and the second tee design. Cafepress is OK, but the page and offerings haven't been updated in a very long time. It's an okay way of selling various types of merchandise, but there are probably better suppliers out the...

Yeah, I guess it was 2002, so it was eleven years, not ten.

Ten Years?!

Yes, last month marked ten years of the Legacy Central BBS. Thanks to all of those who have come and gone, and especially Josh for being around a LOT more than I am. I may not visit that often, but I know this community is still vibrant and enthusiastic. I'm pleased to help provide a place for owner...

These are from the second-gen GT-B wagon in Japan. Rare wheel stateside. Lucky to find a set local, and in respectable conditio too.

DLC's 01 BH6

I've owned this for almost four years, and it's the sixth Legacy (2nd Outback) I've owned. Interestingly, none of the six I've had bore the same chassis code (BC, BJ, BE, BG, BK, BH). It's a bit boring, but it's the nice, Deep Sapphire Pearl color, which is less common than the green versions I see ...

Re: RIP Legacy GT 2005-2012

Unfortunately they've also removed the 6MT option from the 3.6, so it's a 5EAT only. The current body style is, in a word, boring. It's along the same general malaise as the 08 Impreza sedan, which is to mean it can be mistaken for a Toyota at anything more than 10 feet. Thankfully I am aware of a v...

RIP Legacy GT 2005-2012

Subaru put another knife deep into the heart of my favorite model. We had to go through a drought once, from 95-04, but will this one shorter? I hope so. I'll go put a burning bag of dog do-do on the front step of Tokyo Subaru for all of us. http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2012/04/new-york-2012-sub...

I don't know if it would make sense to ship these from UT to FL. You can probably find a set much, much closer to you.

Good question.

My 97 Outback has been lowered, and I've got a full set of stock struts, but I have never definitively seen the difference between the suspensions.

Re: Classic 180-200chp NA Power Questions, Help Requested

Having done a medium build on my Phase II EJ251, I can chime in with a few observations: Cobb Street Performer cams Cobb Cold-air intake TWE EL headers Random HFC Fujitsubo Legalis catback At least two head honings (slight compression bump) This makes a lot of power, but I was in the red with regard...

The STi struts will probably be valved stiffer than the GR-2, and likely more than most of the AGX settings.

Re: Our Room mate scored on a 98 Legacy Outback

I just moved from an EJ22E in the 98 L to an EJ25D in the 97 Outback, and I would miss the extra oomph if I had to go back. The later Phase II engines are interference, unlike the lower-power Phase I EJ22Es, but have a little more power.

Re: rod knock, 22 block or 25d motor?

Indeed, given the option I would use that engine in any car. I have an EJ25D in my Outback and, while it's quite a good engine so far, I don't trust it like I did my 22T.

Re: Our Room mate scored on a 98 Legacy Outback

I've had three EJ25s now, two Phase IIs and one Phase I. The first Phase II has the headgaskets replaced three times and the second once. The Phase I was refreshed before I got it, so I'm confident of getting many miles on it before problems. I've heard horror stories about any EJ25, any year, any t...
