Re: TD's 1993 Legacy SS

Hey Todd, did you ever switch to the colder 7 plugs ? My cars just started spuddering , sounds like its running on 3 Cylinders, no CEL's . Figured all that oil from the blown turbo migh have fouled the plugs. Haven't inspected them yet, cars been running good for probably 700 miles on the new turbo,...

Re: 93 SS Legacy Ver3 Ra/Sti Swap Updated 6/25/13 Tomei Turb

That sucks dude, how many Miles did that last motor last and how many were on it ? My car hasn't made it a full oil change yet lol. First it was the motor, next it was the tranny (my fault as I forgot to install the pilot bearing  ) next was a blown TD05, then the rebuilt TD05 didn't work, then...

Re: CFK's 92 SS Daily/Project (Updated Jan 13, Dyno & More P

Are you ordering one from primitive ? You just want the 2 that bolt to the sub-frame then ? For the front mounts I just used there existing holes in the plate and drilled through the rad support . They was threaded inserts in our rad supports, but they didn't line up with any of there holes and my s...

Re: CFK's 92 SS Daily/Project (Updated Jan 13, Dyno & More P

Thanks man , you should. There very nice ! Just be warned that the holes didn't line up perfect. I had to take a die grinder with and aluminum bit and bore the rear holes up. I could measure up where they mount and tell you the dimensions. So when you order it you could ask for them to be positioned...

Ah I finally found it immediately after posting . Kinugawa States that it's 1.5mm for a Subaru M10 banjo. 2mm on a Mitsubishi M12 banjo ! http://shopping.kinugawaturbo.com/turbooilfeedbanjoboltkitm10x15mmsubaruihivf30vf35vf3715mmhole-1.aspx Ya I had the shop that recommended them listen to the noise...

Re: Turbo Upgrade for Me and Info for BBS

This is a great thread Todd, even though it was in the Revtronix days So long story short, the rebuilt turbo blew instantly, they blamed it all on me, now I spent $1050 on an old Td05-16G, that's Blouch 16g-XT $$$$ :smt076 So now I'm super paranoid to reinstall the re-rebuilt turbo ! He said there w...

Re: CFK's 92 SS Daily/Project (Updated Jan 13, Dyno & More P

Thanks, At least somebody loves it ! Ah I do to, just very frustrated . It was a used turbo. So that was fine. Then after researching the Blouch & Kinugawa turbos. They didn't have a 90 inlet and was a few hundred more. That's why I decided to get it rebuilt. They I researched rebuilders. Was go...

Re: CFK's 92 SS Daily/Project (Updated Jan 13, Dyno & More P

Ya , I think I had switched the hard line from the VF11 to the TD04, then the TD05. The banjo bolt on the motor side has quite a large hole and is clear. I had left the hard line attached to the turbo when they rebuilt it. So I would have assumed they had disassembled and cleaned it with everything ...

Re: CFK's 92 SS Daily/Project (Updated Jan 13, Dyno & More P

OK, another Tragic incident. The oil seals on the Turbo blew on a road trip, thick Blue smoke and went through 4 litres to make it to my destination. 500 Km tow later it was home. Removed the Turbo, sent it to a Rebuild shop that my buddies shop recommended, read good reviews online as well. He info...

Re: TD's 1993 Legacy SS

Perfect, that's an Awesome thread ! Ya I pretty much decided to just get it rebuilt then. Hopefully my motor lasts, if not I will go for an upgrade when I do full internals and DOHC. But for now I like the low end torque of the SOHC. When you seen my Dyno plot the TD05 Spooled way later than it shou...

Re: TD's 1993 Legacy SS

Ya your Dyno #'s are higher than mine and I have the 220 Delaya cams , and a full exhaust  My oil seals just blew out on my TD05, but the bearing had no play ! I wonder what's up with that :?: I was looking at maybe upgrading to a Bigger TD05, but I'm not sure what the RobTune can handle, not...

Re: where to buy new td05-16g turbo with 90 inlet

Sounds like I'm SOL unless I wanna purchase a new one and pray a short radius 90 would fit. I spoke with Blouch and they said only a factory rebuild was possible with them and no upgrades can be made. Only an 8cm exhaust housing, but nothing to the compressor side. On my old TD04 I had an aluminum 9...

Re: where to buy new td05-16g turbo with 90 inlet

Ya it minna looks like the only option as I can't find any aftermarket companies that make a P&P unit with a 90. I'm waiting for an email back from Blouch, and if they don't sell any which I assume they don't . I'll get a quote on having mine rebuilt and beefed up. I'm just not sure what the bes...

Re: where to buy new td05-16g turbo with 90 inlet

ya I knew there rebuildable, but I kinna wanted the most out of a new TD05 since it's easier and cheaper than upgrading to a VF39/550/Re-chipped RobTune. All iv'e seen is blouch and a few others, but there all the straight in type. So I figured I might as well upgrade if its blown. Then again a fast...

Re: Who's running 18" on their car ?

Totally, I Love Mikey's car. Those are sick wheels, but i did the same thing and put 18"s on the car and they just looked way to big ! I ended up selling them before I even ran them.

Depending on what tire size & Stance your going for, 16 & 17"s are the way to go :!:

Anybody else do this mod ? Installed the slosh box last night using a 32oz Sulivan RC tank. Very very tight fit, both in the top hole and bottom little pan, I had to force it right down into it and could barely get the nuts on. Also the filter bag sat on the base of the RC tank. Not sure if my holes...
