FWD Gas tank in AWD 91 Legacy

Post by regencyred »

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone knows if I can fit a FWD gas tank with
1 pump and sender to an AWD Legacy wagon?
If the driver's side sending wire is disconnected will the fuel
gauge still work?

Second question: If I plug up the lines to the fuel separator to
the gas tank will the car run ok? will the computer be affected?
My steel fuel pipes are corroded and can't use them any more.
Lots of New York salt on them. Great.

Thanks, Craig

Not unless you want to convert to fwd.
Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.

the driveshaft going down the center will not clear, they put a hump in the tank on AWD version, the hump is not there on FWD tank so no way to clear driveshaft unless you put a lift kit on the car.
