Tailgate ???

Anyone ever taken their tailgate apart? is there perhaps a how-to?

Is there something you're looking to do or fix with the tailgate?

To get access to the guts of the tailgate you need to pop the inside plastic cover off. You can do this by gently pulling at the edges until you get the plastic snaps to unsnap. Then slowly work your way around until the entire cover comes off.

awesome :] and thank you :] im just curious as to what the inside is like, to see what would be possible. honestly i'd like to convert the red bar running between the taillights to an led brake light, but ill have to take mine apart and see if thats possible

Ahh ok. Yeah you need to take the inside cover off, and that should allow you to get access to the bolts behind to get the reflector off.

if you have a sedan you can work with that panel if your car is a 92-94
if you have a wagon you can't alter that panel much its mostly one piece
that panel has a few small studs that hold it on and the mounting plate for the liftgate handle also holds part of it
