Finding an OEM sedan rear wing

Post by Danteandsoob »

Does anyone know where I can buy or find an OEM rear sedan spoiler? I'm wanting one for track racing, and for the added down force.

Downforce? You do realize that it barely lies within the wind stream and that it is pretty worthless for providing actual force on the car. It's an aesthetic piece mostly.
Yes I have too many Subarus
No you can't have one

Hate to say it, but a flamboyant STI wing or aftermarket fast and furious wing is your best bet for actual downforce.

Hmm.. Okay.
Well I still like the look. Does anyone know where I can find an OEM one?

Post a WTB thread here, also maybe try SL-i.net. Although a yard would be your best bet, as shipping on something that big will be killer.

Also eBay and Craigslist.

There's a small chance there's new ones in available from the dealer, but of course that's a $$$ option if there's any left.

Yeah, I've tried my local yard, but with no luck.
I might try criegslist first.

This is what a late 80s Ford Escort spoiler looks on a legacy.

Considering only the Turbo Legacys came with spoilers, you might never find one in the junkyard. They only made "several thousand" turbos in total.

Well I'll be damned..
Cool! I'll have to look at what my local yard has as far and 80's escorts, all the turbos are gone as of now ):
