So, my wife and I bought a new car, and of course like most new cars, it has a backup camera.
I use to think these were silly, but, after going to any of my other cars without one, I actually missed it.
Took a look around on eBay, and for about $30 CAD (much cheaper in the US), I could piece together a kit of my own.
Finally got everything in on Friday, so I put it in on Saturday.
Here's a few pics:
I went with a rear view mirror with a screen built in.
It's pretty good, but I do find sometimes the glare blocks it out and I have to point it at me.
Not a huge issue since it's not all the time.
I think if I tint the windows on it, it would help a lot.
For the money, and the 1.5 hours it took to install it, I think it was worth it.
I've got another one on order for my 10 WRX. It's a original piece that goes into the license plate light. Then I'll use my nav screen for it.
