connecting rear defroster wires

Post by Shaggy »

When I bought my wagon the rear defroster wires were disconnected from the window. I was wondering what to use to reconnect them to the window. I would realy like to be able to defrost my rear window without rolling down my rear windows and letting the freezing cold in. :)

They were broke off of the window. On the end of the wire is a metal plate and it connects to a thick spot of the metal that makes up the defrost lines on the window that is shapped just like it. I am thinking some kind of liquid metal that will harden after applying will work but I'm not sure. I don't know if it needs something special to adhear it to the metal on the window to keep good connectivity for the electricity to pass through it or not.

Yup, any local auto shop should have the repair kits for them.
