What is a CO Resistor?
I pulled some codes today from my car . CEL code 49. Says it's CO Resistor. Any ideas?
Re: What is a CO Resistor?
Where are you reading it's a CO resistor? http://legacycentral.org/library/literature/codes.htm says its the MAF.

Re: What is a CO Resistor?
it said they were obd I, I dont know. I have an active 32 code and thats O2 sensor. Are the O2 wide band or short band? Can I buy the 2.2's and get away with that?
Re: What is a CO Resistor?
The o2 is narrow. What modern car comes stock with a wideband o2?

Re: What is a CO Resistor?
Those codes are not applicable to your legacy. Use the ones posted by BSOD2600

Re: What is a CO Resistor?
Ok, I replaced O2 sensor. Now I have another problem. After I cleared the codes the car runs worse and it's coding coolant temp sensor WTF? I have no idea why.
Re: What is a CO Resistor?
Check it per the FSM specifications. The manual is posted in the stuff you need to know forum....

Re: What is a CO Resistor?
I believe the new turbo beetles and maybe some of the other turbo VWs used a wideband from the factory. I seem to remember a wideband kit that used the sensor off a beetle......

Ah, so you're correct -- turbo VW's though .IronMonkeyL255 wrote:I believe the new turbo beetles and maybe some of the other turbo VWs used a wideband from the factory.
According to this post, some vw, audi, bwm, and gm's use them.
