What is a CO Resistor?

I pulled some codes today from my car . CEL code 49. Says it's CO Resistor. Any ideas?

Where are you reading it's a CO resistor? http://legacycentral.org/library/literature/codes.htm says its the MAF.

those look like OBD2 codes,not what you want to go by for your car.
94SS.Wiseco forged pistons,TD04,TMIC,WALBRO 225,440's,3" all the way,revtronix stage 2,enough other crap to fill the internet.

it said they were obd I, I dont know. I have an active 32 code and thats O2 sensor. Are the O2 wide band or short band? Can I buy the 2.2's and get away with that?

The o2 is narrow. What modern car comes stock with a wideband o2?

I dont know if any cars come stock with wide, I used to build drag cars so I was askin. I found a forum where people are talking about the CO Resistor but its in spanish.

Those codes are not applicable to your legacy. Use the ones posted by BSOD2600

Ok, I replaced O2 sensor. Now I have another problem. After I cleared the codes the car runs worse and it's coding coolant temp sensor WTF? I have no idea why.

Check it per the FSM specifications. The manual is posted in the stuff you need to know forum....

I believe the new turbo beetles and maybe some of the other turbo VWs used a wideband from the factory. I seem to remember a wideband kit that used the sensor off a beetle......

Ah, so you're correct -- turbo VW's though ;).

According to this post, some vw, audi, bwm, and gm's use them.
