#1 reason to go blow through MAF for FMIC......
when you switch to blow through MAF, you only will have 1-2 hose clamp sections that could possibly blow off. If any of the others pre-throttle/MAF, then you still can drive off boost.
Reddevil, Awaiting new heart, will it ever happen?

You can drive with the MAFS removed from the car with a standard setup. Just not very well.

Yeah, but you have to unplug the MAF first, not so good on the freeway! I happen to know this from a few unhappy incidents.....

Well, how long do you plan on driving around with your turbo boosting to atmosphere?

Turbo? Whats a turbo?
I am not saying drive around town without the turbo hooked up, I am saying driving far enough to get off the freeway/dragstrip/whatever safely.

Admit that....
But if you are moving enough boost to blow off a pipe, you should be aware of the benefits of movng the MAF, and WHY you are moving the MAF.....
Not to mention, the car runs really really well now....

YUP,
And even though I am running the 370 cc injectors, my best running "map" on the SMT6 (perfect power), is to use big fat "0"s in the fuel map.
I am so fucking lucky with my current setup. I am running 7-8 psi, no timing correction except up low, no fuel correction at all, AND I get acceptable milage. Total freak show. Most likely all due to the FMIC.
