Did you sort the injector and fuel rail issue? (Sorry, I do t have enough time to read through). I saw someone mention you need 25D rails to run yellows. This is Not true. There are two versions of the yellow injector, phase-1 narrow body injectors from v3/4 STi and BG GTB Manuals, that fit in place where grey tops are normally found, I.e. EJ20G's. Then there's the phase-2 wide body's from the V5/6 WRX's / BH GT's. These are the ones that fit 20D rails. Both yellow top injectors flow 440cc at 80%duty and are referred to as 440's on NZ forums. They flow 550cc at 100% duty and are referred to as 550cc on AU forums. Phase-2 injectors are the de-cap-able injectors.

I agree but there was no other way to get them to connect, the kit when bolted down without hoses is pretty at off.

I'll try this on this text box.

I bought an intercooler comb to fix the fins, I do not recommended it as it sucks. I am going to try and modify it for this cooler and will let you know if it works. So instead I took a couple hours while my wife studied for class to tweez each individual fin

Having issues bleeding the clutch so I put the radiator and fan shroud in.

Image

Fan is very close to the belts but they are the same depth as stock from what I measured so as long a they don't touch I'm good

Going to modify these so it's as far forward as possible

mike-tracy wrote:Reuben, the robtune takes the phase 2 injectors, if you select the "550cc" option. He doesn't have a tune for the phase 1 yellowtops (which we call "480cc's"). Hence the need for the ej25d (or ej20d which we didn't get here) fuel rails. I am actually running a set of ver 6 ej207 injectors in my robtuned SS, using the appropriate rails, and those are functionally identical to the GD STI yellowtops that we can get our hands on easily.
Pretty sure both phase-I and II yellows flow the same, I even put down why there are missconceptions, due to the duty cycles, and the Aussies and kiwi's calling them different things.

Hi Reuben, Rob offers tunes for ej20g gray injectors and the phase ii yellow top side feeds only. He addresses it directly on his website. http://www.robtune.com/general.html under "what are my tune options"

So for the 99.99% of US legacy owners without a standalone, there's no purpose in even considering the ej20k injectors.

Wikipedia

Kiwi is the nickname used internationally for people from New Zealand,[1] as well as being a relatively common self-reference. The name derives from the kiwi, a flightless bird, which is native to, and the national symbol of, New Zealand. Unlike many demographic labels, its usage is not considered offensive; it is generally viewed as a symbol of pride and endearment for the people of New Zealand.

Here is the injector calibration from my yellow "sti" injectors. There is a column with IDC's on it, but I don't see that specifically related to flows.

Car looks great! Jealous!

Quick question, am I missing something here? Why is this ej20 with tranny only $799? There have been several for that price over the months, most have said they were from a forester, any reason to not buy?
