Out of curiosity, do you think the cooling efficiency of an AWIC is better than that of a FMIC?

I think the AWIC is better for most people but not all.
Tthe water has a high heat capacity so you can "charge" it up. Lets say you've been driving for 20 minutes and stop at a stop light for 2 minutes. A TMIC will be heat soaked and not cool down until you are moving a good speed (when its too late). A FMIC might be ambient temp but its cooling effect is related to speed so 0-20 will have reduced cooling. The AWIC will cool equally regardless of speed until the cold water buffer runs out.
The FMIC also needs a significantly larger front heat exchanger which reduces airflow to the radiator where as the AWIC can have a significantly thinner (shorter narrower) front heat exchanger.
Legacy777's accomplishment is essentially identical to what I've wanted to do for the last 5 years.
