I seem to recall a thread or two stating they're thicker than the WRX, which could possibly have some hood clearance issues. Searched?

I know a WRX will fit. There is a million threads on that. Just trying to figure out if the thicker STI one will work.

Every where I have read and everyone I've talked to in my area who are on this forum have the WRX tmic. I didnt ask about the STI but I would assume that someone would run it if it worked, but you don't see it antwhere.

Because to all the peeps on NASIOC the letters S T and I when put together equal = $$$ + GOLD + PWNAGE!!! Nobody uses them probably because they can get 06-07 WRX for $40-$60 all day long and every time I see an STI intercooler it's $200-$250. I don't know if there's much of a difference in performance but it certainly looks bigger. The WRX TMIC fits like a glove. Any bigger and you'll need to break out you BFH.

I can confirm this also the pitch mount and the firewall directly above seem to interfere with the rear of the intercooler tank. Anyone that went dohc if you could measure the distance from the firewall to the end of the throttle body inlet that would give us an idea of wether it would work if using a different IM/Heads....I would love to use my STi top mount if at all possible.
