Fuel pump has confused me... Wablro swap

So I'm doing the swap to the 255 pump but for some reason my pump in the car has 4 wires instead of just 2.. Anyone know why this is? Ps don't worry they will be soldered together

I would highly recommend you do not use that setup. It looks like something was added after the fact. I'd remove whatever that device is and get the Walbro kit that has the correct connectors and makes the entire affair and plug and play job.

I ended up using the pump I got and soldered/ shrink wrapping them. I was told the extra wired were for the float
