Emissions & Fuel Hose

Just wanted to throw this information out there for everyone. Replumbing the PCV system is something that commonly happens when we modify these engines, and sometimes it's hard to get a hold of the proper emissions hose to use. Heater hose is readily available, but will degrade over time with the oil in it.

Gates makes larger size emissions hose and Rock Auto carries it by the foot. So here's the Gates catalog. You can search through it and put the part # for the spool into Rock Auto and order by the foot. I found out that for the different size spools, Rock Auto allows you to order by the foot on the 25' spools. If you choose the 10' spool you get the whole thing.

Also, if you need to order fuel injection hose, which is different than most of the stuff at the autoparts store, Rock Auto has it for about half the price. 5/16" fuel injection hose (SAE 30R9) goes for about $10 a foot at most autoparts stores, Rock Auto has it for $3.50 a foot.
