Clunking noise passenger side, solved!

Post by volny »

Hi everyone!

Had this clunking noise on front passenger side that was driving me crazy...

It happened mainly on left turns at slow speed and over bumps on passenger side suspension.

Hypothesis were, strut mounts, ball joint, wheel bearing, sway bar links, Tie rods (inner and outer), steering rack bushing.

Long story short I replaced the sway bar links not thinking that was it, and the clunk went away!

Just in case anyone has the same problem there it is:)

Also when I jack the car up I could move the wheel 3-9 o'clock, and because of that I realized that my steering rack bushings are totally shot! So that comes next!

In the process of replacing tire rods and tie rod ends as well.

Wow looks Like I resurrected this car once again!

Cheers!
