98 lgt driveline in 92 turbo wagon
I have a 92 turbo wagon going 5mt and the driveshaft from my 98lgt wagon doesn't fit. It seems too long. Trans and rear diff and drive shaft all from the same car going into the 92 chassis. Is the shaft the wrong one?

Yes. Just use a 90-94 legacy sedan or wagon, turbo or non, 5 speed drive shaft. Its the only one that fits right.

Is he going to have to swap the flange on the rear diff for that 90-94 drive line to work mike?

All the 2nd gen diffs I've seen have a different bolt pattern flange.
Note that the flange nut is on there about 130+ ft lbs. Assuming you can get them off, just swap diff flanges. I had to take my diffs to a machine shop back in the day, before getting a beastly impact.

The first gen auto flange and second gen manual flange are the same. I haven't looked at my 94 manual yet
