So what makes that splitter so good? I'm assuming it directs air more efficiently over the intercooler, but is it directing air anywhere else?

Josh, there are pictures of how the flow increases and what not. I'm sure it doesn't do too much. It really is for show but who knows.

Massive update:
installed
VF52, retuned at 15psi, headers and DP titanium wrapped, DEFI triple gauge pack installed, Kenwood DNX571HD with back up camera, Perrin short ram, KillerB baffle and oil pickup tube, Moroso dual catch can setup, GS EBCS, SpecB number plate

Putting the killer-b in with the engine installed looks a little tricky, especially getting to the back bolts! I got the KB pickup too, y'know, to fit my twinscroll oilpan. The original pickup looked undamaged, but better safe than sorry, right? Speaking of oiling, did you remove those inline oil screens in the oil lines? There are 3, one each for the AVCS lines, and one in the oil feed into the turbo. All located inside their respective banjo bolts.

No not to bad, just have to raise the engine quite a lot. Little nervous because of one of the AC lines. No problems with leaks though. Torqued and used Fujibond red. Yea, I didn't have any cracks but like you said it was fr assurance. I removed the one at the turbo and it was clean at 109,000 miles, but again I'd rather have dirty oil than no oil.

Do you have the same motor or did you get a GT?

There's only two banjo filters. Passenger side AVCS and turbo feed share the same banjo bolt. I just rebuilt a trashed EJ255 in a cheap 05 GT I picked up. ;) I put the banjo filters back in because I'd hate to send any remaining bearing chunks into an AVCS solenoid or cam gear. The banjo filters are there to protect the AVCS system, not the turbo, it just so happens for ease of packaging that the turbo and AVCS feed from the same banjo bolt. If I owned one of these for a daily driver, I'd check and replace the banjo filters every 60k and keep a 3k mile oil change interval with synthetic.

So based on this, why is there one for the turbo? Also, there is a reason that Subaru stopped putting those in the cars. Granted when I pulled mine out at 108,000 it was clean. However, I would rather still have some oil then starve the turbo resulting in a blown turbo and engine. And at the point where you have bearing chunks you are going to have a bad time regardless.

Congrates on the new car though. I love mine just don't drive it much as it's the weekend car when the Miata is up and running. The LGT is the highway crusier.

The one that feeds the turbo also feeds the passenger side AVCS, like I said. Hence why it has a filter.

Truth be told, neither of us is qualified to second guess Subaru engineers. I was just adding some info about justification for keeping the filters. There's plenty of success stories with either method, but I personally am a fan of additional filtration and checking the filter on a regular basis isn't a big deal.

I've got almost 1k successful miles on mine so far, getting ready to post it up for sale. You're right, it is a damn good highway cruiser, just not my style.

You are right on that, hell the damn airbox is still a damn debate haha. Well, my car went 109,000 miles with the filter and no issue, so hope for another 109,000.

Well, damn. Wish you had some more time to spend with the car. Might change your mind.

Realized I haven't updated and/or missed photos.

So got some JDM tails and ov course they good damaged during shipment. Nothing a little hot glue, time and permanent marker couldn't fix.

Also rewired/fabbed them so the top and bottom portion would be brake and DRL. Very bright when the brake is applied.

Got the DEFI triple gauge pack installed and the A-pillar. FastWRX pre/post intercooler temp guage and Tommy Kaira Heavy Baby shift knob. Oh and officialy now #419/500 cloned

Also received my "blue" radiator shroud so replaced the "silver" one. And got a gold Prodrive oil cap.

And just a picture from the Subaru Mega Meet in Tampa, Awesome meet. Out of 970 something Subarus there were about 10 Legacys. Fewer than that registered to be judged. I managed to lose to a bone stock 94 wagon. I was a bit butthurt on lie. Guess there is next year.

Lost to a stock 94 wagon? What were the judges looking for, how much hookers and blow you gave them?

Haha, it was the drivers that voted. My guess is they rolled with a big group so they got those votes.

That's why I don't even bother going to car shows. My car is not bling enough and there are only a few people that actually know what it is and take the time to look at the mods.

Most of the car shows I go to I expect not to place. However at a Subaru Mega Meet with a Legacy section, of course I'll enter.

Even in the Legacy category a "stanced" newer Legacy won over mine....so like I said I don't bother any more.
