Hey Stu, I know you from the STi list as Doomscarab. Where did that name come from? Anything to do with the old Scarab Trans Am cars?

Look for the article -
Installing SOHC or DOHC EJ25 heads on an EJ22T
Hands on test by Larry Witherspoon
Finally, the real poop on the cold hard realities of a 2.5 head swap onto a 2.2 turbo block - reading time 7 - 8 minutes
My article gives a pretty good look at some considerations for the head swap. Though it was written from the perspective of swapping SOHC heads, most of it should be true for DOHC heads also. The short story is yes the heads physically fit and bolt on, then the fun starts.
I had these fancy heads that were given an upgrade, like you, but then found out there's more to a clean install than nuts and bolts. So the heads are for sale, and I'll probably do my monthly advertisement again soon, but I would like to see somebody go to the mat with this swap and do a full report. I think someone who knows the drawbacks going into the job, who's willing to see it thru and do it right, will be very satisfied.

Larry.....do you think these heads would fit on a 2.2 N/A engine without the issues you've run across for the 2.2 turbo...
