Washington/PNW Legacy meet, all Subarus welcome!!!
I'm new to this forum but have been on subaruforester.com for about a year now and have yet to attend a Subaru meet. When is the next Subaru/Legacy meet?
Or better yet, let's organize one now!! We could hold it at a racetrack, or maybe an Arbys, wouldn't matter to me. If anyone is knowledgeable about setting these things up, let's make it happen. And if no one steps up in the next little while then I could do my best to make it successful. I think it would be cool to make a swap meet out of it as well. Someone......
- Tell me when the next Subaru meet is taking place
- Tell me how much interest is out there and we'll set one up.

Well, Art, Tristan, Jake and I seem to see each other on a fairly regular basis, or at least we have recently(about once a month). Jake and Tristan are both in the Federal Way/Tacoma area, so driving up to Oak Harbor isn't very easy for them. We tend to have a few parties at our house(so long as they don't get too crazy), so Art/I would be more than willing to host one for whatever subaru crew that wants to head over, so long as it's not a huge nasioc style meet.
If we could put something really cool together, I'm sure at least a couple of the rallitek/portland crew would be willing to come up as well.
Another option(one that we did last year) is when snow finally accumulates at the pass, but the season isn't open yet, we could head up to Stevens and play in the snow. We ended up getting some pretty cool video from that night. Hell, it could even be a "play in the snow then come back to AHOC and party it down" meet.

Hell I'm down for it. I'd show up even if it were in Bellingham. And if no one else is willing to host the meet and you guys/gals just want to go with LaureltheQueen's idea to go up the pass and play in the snow I'd be willing to host a meet at my house afterwards for anyone who is down to party and/or chill out seeing how I'm just at the bottom of the hill.

Alright, well let's see how much interest we garner and we'll pick a location from there. I don't know if any of you have been to Whidbey Island but it's a nice place for groups to get together, sweet roads to cruise and junk.
I think once we decide on a date we'll post on all the Subaru forums we all might be a part of.

If there will be a drive involved, I definitely have no interest in it being more than just a few cars. Especially if we're going up and doing donuts and whatnot at Steven's Pass.
Perhaps we should just do a dinner meet somewhere, and figure out what we're doing from there.

That's just my opinion, but I know how people get in large groups, especially if imprezas are involved. Drives usually attract negative attention, as people either drive faster than regular, or do stupider shit that they usually do. Red Robin or another similar restaurant(Applebees tends to work well) are usually the best kind of places to start a meet. If it was going to be small(less than 15 people, all of whom we at least were sort of familiar with online) coming to our house would be okay, anything more though would probably require somewhere else.
It really depends on whether you want this to be a huge meet(if that's the case, make a nasioc meet and see if anyone from here wants to go) or create a small meet based around the legacy and forester communities.

:shrug is right! Just kidding, but seriously, swap meet and party, anyone?LaureltheQueen wrote:I'm making dinner on wednesday. If anyone wants to come, they're welcome to.
I'm selling my parts '91 SS in the for sale area and I can deliver it in WW. If we do a swap meet I could haul it out there first, or someone could just offer to buy it then. Suggestions?

Since Summer seems to be the best time for a meet and well, it is upon us, do we still want to make something happen? I saw the threads for camping trips and GT4 events in the coming weeks.
Do any of the local (SIR, PIR) tracks offer camping and racing Friday/Saturday events. I think Mission Raceway up in BC offers autocross and camping for $80/car for 2 days. What about more local tracks. The poll says overnight, any ideas? Can somebody look into the PIR/SIR/others regarding something we could all do.
Does August sound good? I might be leaving my car w/ FranticFour for a few weeks and my convenience would justify such a time/
