I have a feeling mine isn't hooked up properly and it's probably why I keep getting boost spikes...

where the line that the intake resonator would be. i have that little connector on the bottom of my coffee cup that i put on, i think STiPro said that in an earlier post... or in a PM but either way that's where it goes.asc_up wrote:Awesome. Thank you sir. Lol. Where does the red line connect to?

it's the ebay kind i guess, ferrari494 had one like this so i figured why not .
i got this one from dscooby for like $30 with ALOT of vac line.
look on ebay for them, and maybe someone on here has one for ya

If so, I don't understand why you're using it as a bleed boost controller, instead of routing the line from the compressor housing into the MBC, then the line coming out to the wastegate actuator.....

You'll have to go back and look at the pictures. Subarujunkie suggested the same thing you did.BXSS wrote:stipro's set-up is the correct way to connect this.
+ & - will work as they are supposed to & you will not get retarded spikes @ boost levels that should be held steady.
Subarujunkies's set-up will not work properly.
Fully closed "- " (less boost) on the knob will not allow air to pass to the actuator which is the same as disconnecting you turbo to actuator line - maxing out boost.
Open "+" (more boost) on the MBC will give you less boost, but you'll get a spike that tapers to actuator boost.
There is no way of getting around using the "t" - thats why it comes with the controller.

STiPro will chime in here, but i believe i did that.
look @ his pictue in one of my earlier posts and go from there.
im still open to anything because im not quite done yet but...

As far as I am aware, the controller dosent have a built in restristion ie:spring and ball. Where as in this case, the tee contains the spring and ball, and the controller is adjusting the amount of pressure that gets past. I hate to dig up an old thread, but this one has the most useful info. I hooked up my boost controller the way shown in STiPro's diagram, but I am hitting massive boots pressures, no matter how I turned the regulator. If I ran the regulator without a t, between the compressor nipple and wastgate, I would only hit wastegate pressure (6psi).
My regulator shows the arrow pointing the other way, but I switched the hoses around in all configurations, with the same results.
Is the regulator broken, or am I missing something? I pulled the regulator and t off, then just looped from compressor to wastegate

Can you provide some additional details on the manual boost controller you are using?
If it's a standard manual boost controller, you should be running the line from the compressor into the MBC, and then run the line out in the wastegate actuator. I didn't reread the thread to see why you would be teeing anything into these lines.

I am using a standard eBay mbc. I tried the t method because of several posts referring to STiPro's diagram in this thread.
When running the direct route as you said, I only hit wastegate pressure.
This is what came with the kit.

When running the direct method, do you still get wastegate boost when you adjust the MBC? If so, I'd say the MBC is not working.
