^ sigh.
It's all opinion.
Aside from that really new white impreza in those pics MOST of those cars wheels have a nice offset that flows with the fenders, bumper etc.
Poking out that far with little to no negative camber looks goofy like a minitruck from 1988 (even those guys don't do that anymore).
It's usually called "mexiflush" observe.

What is stance and how is it measured? By what reference does this car have zero, and what is more or less?jrbump wrote: Too much poke with zero stance.
Thanks . Sounds silly, but it looks way more flush in person.Florin1 wrote:I think his wagon is pretty "Boss" brotha.

You are posting pics of newer cars that for the most part all have decent enough fittment. You however do not. Painting your wheels some exciting color will only exacerbate your problems.
Now i'm not telling you to go all oni kyan to make those things fit, sell them and find something better.
Yeah, well, that's just like, your opinion, man. I'm going with 8.5 wheels this time, it will fill nicely in the fender. I think my wagon is pretty flush, you just have to look at it from the right angle!
Please, share your perfectly stanced first gen. You've shared your opinion, I respect it, now move along. This is my build thread, not a discussion on stance.
Oh, and I think it's pretty hard to ruin this

So, as long as there is ridiculous negative camber its legit to have huge offsets?jrbump wrote:^ sigh.

I'll admit that pic looks better.
In regards to the camber comment. Yes. If the rim is protruding past the fender, . The top of the rim should be closer to the fender than the bottom.
I always feel so old wading into this sort of BS, that is until someone says some shit like "boss"

wow way to be a hater. dont have nothing nice to say, click the back button and move along to another thread.
i did all the fender work on his car, in person it looks bad ass. It is unique, and who wants to have the same crap as everyone else anyways? theres another guy on here Livestrong14 i think who has a similar wheel/tire setup. you should probably go over to his thread and tell him his car looks stupid while your at it.
a car with ridiculous negative camber looks goofy/stupid. his car did not.
oh yeah, lets see your perfectly stanced first gen. better yet, go over to my thread and hate on my car while your at it. im sure your expertise will find something that doesnt live up to your standards.

You joined just for this? (that's what they say on NASIOC all the time )
Anyways, it's all opinion and it's obvious you're more about form than you are about function which is OK so long as the vehicle remains safe. In my opinion if your camber is that far off, the vehicle is no longer safe, nor should it be deemed street worthy/legal. At least his wagon "stance" is functional.

Re: GClark's 1993 Legacy Touring Wagon
actually, i advised you NOT to go overboard on camber to make those fit. I feel that on this type of vehicle too muchnegative camber would look bad.
i'm no fan of the way the whole "stance" thing has gone, I have owned a couple cars that would qualify as having that sort of fitment and it was appropriate for those cars (ls400, S14).
Anyway, a little bit less aggressive offsets, a little bit of negative camber and i think your silver wagon will look great.
lastly calm down righta circle lefta circle, it's called criticism if you can't handle it then build it and hide it.

Suspension modifications done solely for appearance purposes are superfluous.

Nice find!
And 16's, too. Now you can properly 'stance' your car.

Re: GClark's 1993 Legacy Touring Wagon
Yup. Just ripped mine off driving my stupid lowered car through snow covered roads. I got to my friend's house and noticed I only had about 12" of lip left on my bumper. Found it the next day a few blocks from my house in a driveway with the screws pointing up! Hope nobody suffered a flat. Car looks a lot different now. Much less aggressive. Cleaner but I liked it with the lip better.

Just like Kimo said, Ebay lip.
I just cut the ends off and screwed into the bottom. Haven't had any problems and it adds that little touch.

Been gone for a while, but I got some updates. Silver wagon and red wagon are at Meyagi's garage. The silver wagon is getting the red ones shortblock, 2.5 heads, vf23, etc. Engines back in it, and I should be able to drive it down to WBM.
I'll get more pictures tomorrow

It's very fast with the 4eat, and with sport mode modded to be on when I push the manual button, theres no lag in downshifts.
