Did a little detail clean up.

Found out tonight that before I traded my car back for my white SS yesterday, the guy was redlining it at a car meet for loudest exhaust. Checked the oil after we traded and the dipstick was dry. Literally praying that the motor is going to be okay. Seems to be running fine, doesn't make like any ticking or anything.

It's finally warming up in Alaska. I had an opportunity to wash the car since it was a nice evening after work tonight. It's the first good carwash of the season. Nice and shiny! New wheels for the summer too. Its great to get rid of the winter grime, but now I can see the chips, dings and a new dent :|

They are very flimsy. If the fasteners were already breaking/coming off, I wouldn't be surprised if you couldn't hear it over the sound of driving on gravel or a series of bumps/broken pavement.

Was messing around and temporarily tried out the launch control feature built in with the MSD-DIS 2.. Not nearly as loud as I expected and I was reluctant to try it on wet pavement.

I got the receiver wiring finished and got it back in the car. I also have the seats back in, put the battery back in the car, and ran some tests/checks on all the wiring changes I made.

Just an FYI, the dome light door trigger does not work if the gauge cluster is not in the car. I ran across this today....I was like....WTF doesn't the dome light work now.....I looked at the wiring diagram and then realized everything went through the gauge cluster. I plugged the gauge cluster in and it works. :)

Stripped three diff colors and prob 10-14 coats of paint off my rota torques. Method used:
2 gallons of brake clean
1 child saucer sled
One wheel face down in fluid

Roughly 10 min of soaking the paint was falling off and there all down to bare aluminum and ready for primer and paint

Soldered an OEM connector plug to my stereo harness... I hate it when people cut off the old plug and then do a terrible splice job. Fixed a problem I'd been having ever since I replaced my heater core (cold air leaking onto passenger feet) by aligning the "boxes" under the dash better.

I know many shops do it to compel you to go back to them to put your stock unit back in.
