New/Current Style Coil On Plug connectors

Post by subytech »

I already bought a used harness but this will hopefully help/save some $$$ for someone else! I looked all over for someone selling these, but I think this is a new product for them since I bought my harness.

Cool, I think I saw a different place selling them. I found a set of wrx cop but I told the guy I'd only buy tuem if he cut the connectors off with some pigtails for me.

I didn't realize that's for one. What a ripoff. $60 for some connectors??

Ha. I guess its worth it if you're going for that OEM+ show car look, but soldiering wires directly to the COP terminals works fine too. Some epoxy glopped in there ensures I never have to worry about them coming out. Then use whatever you want on the other ends for connectors. The local yard gave me a handful of connectors I clipped out of various cars for free.

Well considering how hard it can be to find a wiring harness with these plugs, I paid $100 for my harness a year ago. Plus I never liked the "solder wires to the terminal and fill the connector with epoxy" route, just seems like your asking for issues down the road with that one. I know lots of people have done it, but I've also seen too many weird problems come up from similar types of "repairs". And yea I do like the OEM look too.

There's always the possibility of finding a wrx engine harness on nasioc, I got mine for free (missing one coil connector.)
