CEL after taking car to garage.(SOLVED!)

I left my car at a garage for an afternoon to get it inspected.. When I picked up my car I noticed that my CEL was on... I connected the wires below the dash and I get 2 long and 2 short before it goes out.. From reading the codes page - http://www.legacycentral.org/library/li ... /codes.htm

It seems like 2 long and 2 short are a knock sensor? ? Am I correct?
Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, It's the knock sensor.

Take the sensor off and examine it. They will crack over time and then they're bad. Easy replacement, especially if you don't have a tmic in the way. Its one bolt through the center of the sensor. Sensor is below the back of the intake manifold and on the left side of the engine.

DONE AND DONE!! No more CEL.

I've never seen a knock sensor that cracked. That's crazy....

I have seen one melted before, recently.

You should see the one I pulled off the parts engine hahaha WWWAAAAAAYYYYY worse than this one.

I love peoples experience with knock sensors in these cars. Either you've never had to replace them or (like me) have had to replace them on every Subaru engine you've ever worked on.
