Sure, why not. You better be running a fmic, or a tmic mounted vertically, to catch all that wind from running no hood

One of those will work for me. I just want it to run, so whatever I can do temporarily even to make that happen. What kind of pipe would I need to get for that intake setup?

You'll need to measure the inlet on your turbo to figure that out. It's possible someone on the BBS has posted what aftermarket intake they used on their SS/TW

Radical! Ive been looking around on eBay a bit and found this. In order to use, would the only additional part I need be the 90 degree elbow?ride_child wrote:im running the apexi power intake system with a 45 degree airbox, its the tits!!

Re: Joe's 93 RHD Legacy Wagon Build
That hole in the lower pipe is where you mount the 02-07 MAF sensor. Your maf is a big ol' tube, so it can't be made to work without an aluminum welding shop. I'd really recommend searching to see what people on here successfully used.
This is what Ride_child is talking about:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/JDM-95-Subaru- ... :rk:1:pf:0
But instead of using the silly filter, he used an NA intake box I think?
Look here, told you people on the board have done what you're doing. They go in to what adaptors are needed, and the links still work.:

Re: Joe's 93 RHD Legacy Wagon Build
Ok, its all coming together. I definitely don't have anything that looks even close to this, if this is indeed the MAF I need:
From there I can either buy the Apexi filter that is linked which is said to bolt on to MAF, or I can buy adapter and buy another type of filter. Is that correct?
Then I should just need the 90 degree elbow right?

What would you do personally, buy that oem maf and adapter/filter, or buy the damaged Apexi that you linked and repair?

The apexi comes with the correct MAF included, so it's a better deal

Re: Joe's 93 RHD Legacy Wagon Build
In the linked thread, you could buy this adaptor to bolt to the maf in the apexi kit. Then you could use any aftermarket 76mm cone filter, and chuck the broken apexi one:

Re: Joe's 93 RHD Legacy Wagon Build
Alright, I purchased the Apexi intake! Now I need to get a 90. I checked out the sticky thread with info on where to get the OEM part. Should I be going that route or is aftermarket fine? It looks like the OEM piece has a couple of spots for hoses to connect to, so Id imagine those are probably pretty important right?

Re: Joe's 93 RHD Legacy Wagon Build
Radical! I am gonna try to make a trip to the yard soon.
Yesterday I rewired the turbo sensors that I need to run to ECU. I didnt fully understand when I did it the first time, so this time I made only one of the wires long since the other one is just for power.
I also received my intake:

Re: Joe's 93 RHD Legacy Wagon Build
So that's for a stock turbo with a 90 degree inlet. You can get a silicone 90 to put on the front or make a friend with a tig and skills to weld on a cast 90, which I have one I can send you for shipping haha I was going to do that to a td04.
Are the manifolds for the under mani intake the same as the ones with the 90 degree inlet turbos?

Kris, he's using a stock ej20g manifold, hence using the stock 90 + silicone 90* bends.
