Ah my apologies. When I talk about the oversize of the pistons I'm talking about it relative to the original bore of the Buick V6 which is 96.5mm. So a 0.5mm oversize to the Buick bore would be 97mm, 0.75mm oversize would be 97.25mm

Ok, thanks for clarification.

Old thread, but I'm still a bit stuck on the compression ratio of these pistons. If the pistons have a dish of -13.3 and sit 3mm below deck, then wouldn't there be a -22.12cc added to that -13.3 dish? I get 7.48:1 with stock heads/gaskets and 7.86:1 with the thinnest Cometic .027" gasket.

I'm not sure the original user is still around and on the bbs regularly. You could try sending a PM.

Resurrecting this old thread, doing some research
Have a spare EJ22T with bad cylinder walls and what I was thinking (along the lines of the OP's work) if it would be possible to use EJ2.5 pistons if the cylinders are bored appropriately. Would the cyl walls be too thin for boost?

How much would you need to oversize the EJ22t bore to fit the EJ25 pistons?

I'm horrible at math, I will prob need to ask my machine shop guy. He works on Subaru blocks and heads, so he would most likely have the answer
