Wiring Question: Aftermarket Keyless entry

Post by clark kent »

Hello All,

I just bought an aftermarket keyless entry for my 1991 Legacy LS wagon. The wagon has power door locks (stock). I'm having a hard time locating which wires I need to splice into. I found the ones I think I need (white/ yellow stripe), (red, yellow stripe) and (light green). Is there something I'm missing here?

You'll need an actuator for the driver's side door. After you wire that in, just using that actuator to move the driver's side door lock will unlock or lock all the rest of the doors.

So there is no way to make this work without another actuator? It has an actuator from the factory in there. If I do need one, where would I get one and where would it need to be placed?

Thanks alot!!

There is no actuator in the driver's door. That's why you need one.

The other doors have actuators from the factory. All you have to do is add one to the drivers' door just like in the pics. You're welcome. 8)
