I think that corresponds to treadwear somehow. Tirerack has all that info on their site.
I have Khumo Ecstas on and they perform as well as can be expected, I guess. I can get the rear to progressively step out on the Steel st. off ramp from 512 e/b. But thats w/ the Whiteline RSB, also.
I'd say they're good enough for the price to reccomend.

93 legacy wagon L, 22T swapped (TW imitator) now with five forward speeds. (Gone, but never forgotten)

My falken ZE-912s were dirt cheap. $73 each for 225/50-16.
Not as good in snow, especially the deep stuff, as I was hoping, but that could be partly to do with the width. Probably better than RE92s at any rate. They're apparently one of the best all-seasons out there.
I don't really have any major complaints, but they make me miss my stiff sidewalled and ultra sticky summer tires.
Otherwise the Kuhmo ASX is pretty cheap and not terrible.

I noticed the Yokohama AVS ES100s are available in that size. Avoid them if you want long life.
If the BFG G-force sport were available in that size I would recommend them, but they aren't......
