Today started out good, fixed my coolant lines to feed coolant to the IAC. Had to remove the manifold and cut off one of the 2 lines that come from the water pump and use One of the 22t lines and one of the 20h lines. But i figured it out and got the manifold back on and finished running some coolant lines.

Can't find my Metal coolant line for my turbo that goes over the compressor housing and i'm out of car money at the moment so i have to wait, but im hoping this will atleast get me by ti i can get more funds.

Got my intake figured out too...



Fabbed up a bracket for my Coil pack after i got home from picking up new plug wires.




Now for the sad part

I test fitted my Greddy WRX Piping and it disappointed me. I am now forced to either buy a TMIC And a Turbo Legacy Hood.... (Don't want a turo hood) or buy a Universal 2.5" piping kit on ebay.

I was pretty pissed about this too because i was going to start it today, now i have to wait awhile.

I also have to pick up some exhause wrap sometime down the road, summer my work hours will increase a little bit so i'll have some funds. I also topped off all the fluids today. I didn't get to work on my alarm today either so i have to do that too... Alarms are a pain in the ass.

I would suggest redoing some of those hoses because they look like they're slightly kinked and over time they might get more kinked with engine heat. I almost did the same thing with my PCV hose but didn't like the idea so I got a 90 degree brass elbow and cut the hose in half. Much better that way.

Also, I can't take credit for the TB spacer plate idea. That's all SLODRIVE. He's helped me a lot with my build.

i just tried to start the subaru today and im getting no spark, i get code 13 cam angle sensor | No signal entered from cam angle sensor, but signal (corresponding to at least two rotations of cam) entered from crank angle sensor |

im using the 22T cam sensor on my DOHC so what did i do wrong? i tried to swap coil packs and ignightors, checked my ignition and swapped my ignition, checked my fuses.....

I'm almost crying.....

Hit up the junkyard and grab a sensor and make sure it has good wires. At least then you'll know it's probably not the cam sensor if it still doesn't start.

Yesterday i was in a hurry so i didn't get to mess with anything related to my cam angle sensor. I'm going to try to get to the junk yard today so i can get a cam sensor plug & wire. i'm just going to pull the whole wire if i can find a decent one, like i did with my knock sensor.

I cut up some other intercooler piping i had for a different car and made a ghetto charge pipe yesterday so i could start the sedan





And after cranking and cranking and cranking..... found out i didn't tighten down 1 Banjo bolt... So i had oil dripping from my turbo oil feed line.

I still haven't gotten it to start. its getting spark but still throwing a cam sensor code. maybe someone can take a piture of their cam sensor plug for me so i can make sure i wired it up right. i even swapped the cam sensor.

Also are turbo legacy and n/a legacy cam gears the same?

I was able to get the cam sensor issue fixed with a jdm cam sensor and some wire connectors, i snagged a fuel injector plug from the junk yard too so i could actually have a solid connection and im going to work on that tomorrow. Since i put my cam sensor on crooked i went to Harbor freight and bought a compression tested for 20 bucks, so im hoping i have good compression. i had a hard time getting the cam gear on when i put the heads back together and i thought that i had had the cam gear on correctly, torqued it down and thought it was nice and solid but turns out the dowel on the gear wasn't even in the seat on the cam. it was barely off tho so im hoping i didn't fuck something up... if so im going to need new valves for a 20H head...

Anyways, thanks to evolutionmovement i was able to order more 2.75" intercooler piping so i can install my FMIC. Went with a CXRacing Kit that came with couplers and t-bolt clamps...

I still don't see why my coil pack is bad but it is what it is. reading incorrect resistance values at the plug for the pack itself and pull a part has no coil packs so i guess i have to wait.

Also bought a dent puller so i may do some body work too.... yippyyy

Fucking fuel lines were backwards..

You stole my line! Haha. Congrats buddy. Fuel lines were backwards where? The filter? So you didn't actually have weak spark? How's it runnin? Have you driven it yet?

I have to bleed my front driver's caliper before i drive it, i only let it run for like 5 minutes. im gonna mess with it some more today and try to make some cash to get it licensed

Drove it around my park today. I realized i need to get some exhaust wrap. i'm a little worried about the coolant drain from the turbo to the RH Head, the gap between the metal line and the uppipe is very little so i want to wrap it. What do you guys think? As a temp wrap, when i cut off the heat sheild there was a fiberglass material inside the uppipe heat shield so i put that on the uppipe with a couple clamps... after i drove it that material was smoking. so that's not going to work.

other than that, with little throttle, it pulled pretty good

No over heating or oil leaks, DOHC conversion seems successful WOOHOO!!! And it's a pretty big deal to me too because ive never tackled this. To everyone that gave me their input, thanks for your help.

I've got what you need buddy! Extra exhaust wrap left over (quite a bit actually) and silicone exhaust wrap sealer spray.

Let me see how much I spent on it and I'll get back to you. I think I'm going to need to buy that ebay MAF hose you used and chop it short for a temp fit with that filter I have. Don't want to chop mine, it was a bit spendy.

Lol yeah i am, right now the pip is just there so i could start it. I live in a mobile home park that has some tweakers in it.... so im scared to put my fmic on w/out a bumper. Atleast until i get my alarm in.......

I can't figure out if they realize how much they're twitching and fidgeting around or if they don't notice it at all. The way I see, how the hell could you not notice that but then again how could you go out in public like that? It boggles my mind.

Got the damn title transfered, now i just have to get tabs... that crap is expensive... thank jebus i don't have to do no stinkin emissions.

No doubt. Cost me $130 to transfer my title because I waited well over a year to do it lol. Now I have to get tabs for it and put it on my insurance. Wonder what it will go up to after that? It's already costing me $160 a month for insurance with the metro alone.
