Things would have to have gotten much, much more sour than that before the thought of cutting my rim would ever even have crossed my mind...

I hope he has better luck JB welding that rim back together ;)

wow that has to be the most epic fail of 2009

fwiw he should have tried a 50/50 mix of auto trans fluid and acetone
shake and spray. Let this soak for a minute or 2 then find the correct hex drain plug socket and hammer it in then crack it loose.

I have owned 3 VW's and never had this happen also I'm working on owning my 4th subaru

That's because it's not VW related at all, it's all the wheels/wheel locks, which just adds to the stupidity of the guy :lol:
