So i'm going to be getting a tmic off a 06 that i was going to install into my 91 ss and i was wondering i was looking around for a parts list to do the swap and there are a whole bunch of threads on this topic and i was wondering if any one has stubmled across this kit

http://store.max-redline.com/servlet/-strse-983/Detail

I was thinking of getting it for my swap it looks like what some people have done on there own. I was also wondering if i will need a 90 degree elbow for the turbo to stock intake I am looking at doing the good old TD04 and 06 TMIC swap. Is there any thing else that i have to do i have already done the ignitor relocation and coolant relocate i'm still debating on what to do i was thinking of just turning it 90 degrees and making a custom bracket.

Yeah, you will need a 90 degree silicone intake pre turbo to hook up to the stock intake piping.

Hey question for any one i have been doing some fitting and i noticed that the stock wrx bov is really really close to the cruse control throttle and i know that with the 90 degree radius it doesn't fit. i was wondering if it would be ok to set up the car for vent to atmosphere i am going to be doing the td04 swap and looking at running about 12 psi. The other thing is that i'm running this setup in an automatic if that makes any difference in recirculating or not for drivability factures

Your car will not like venting to atmosphere. It's like having a vacuum leak. Some people do a partial vent to atmosphere for the sound, but you end up with a momentary rich usually upon lifting the throttle.

haha i could care less about the sound i like being stealthy lol. i was thinking about using the stock bov i was planning on running 12 psi and kind of wondering if the stock bov with handle the pressure increase? if not is there any adapter plates out there to gain clearance for the wrx bov i see that i have no clearance with the 90 degree elbow on the bov

The stock BPV will work and handle the 12 psi fine. I have run 19-20 psi through the stock BPV.

This is documented in the TMIC sticky and others build threads.

I bought this same Y-pipe off ebay for my 06 intercooler. It doesn't fit real well, the 06-07 ports at the top of the intercooler are wider. I made it fit but have been fighting it for some about 2 years now. I finally just went and bought the Samco Y-Pipe and haven't had a single problem.

yeah i kind of noticed that the piping was not the greatest connection but i got it to fix for now. i guess having a dad that works for a metal stamping and his friend that is awesome with Cadkey. They took the stock wrx bov that i had and took and drew a plate out and my dad then when to his work and got it cut out with the lazer at his work so now i just got to weld up a nice 90 degree elbow and i should be good and throw on some sealer

I'm running that same y pipe kit and had to use this piece in place of the straight coupler in the kit. http://www.siliconeintakes.com/product_ ... 61a47095b5
It still was a wrestling match to get the bolts lined up. No leaks that I know of, but no boost guage yet.

Figured better late then never I would show my adapter plate that I have been using. It was just an idea that i had then it turned into a little project for my dad and his friend they took measurements and created the adapter plate on the computer. Once the computer plate was made my dad then went to his work modified and fine tuned it and created a program to ran it on his works lazer cutter. He ended up cutting put 3 different adapter plates with difference thicknesses. I ended up using the 16 gauge stainless steel plate and was able to take a 90 degree brass fitting and run it thru the adapter plate to create what I needed to continue using the factory bov on the 06 tmic
